Desi Girl Priyanka and Most Amazing and Exciting Show Khatron Ke Khiladi

Bollywood Actress Priyanka Chopra is on ninth cloud. Though this year, we didn’t see her movies doing any fireworks yet, but she has received the National Award in 2010, so it is already a good year for her. Moreover, there are a few of her movies in pipeline which is making all the right noises.

But if you ask her about one venture she is very excited about, she will say ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’. As we all know, that she is going to host the signature show of Akshay Kumar, the original Khiladi of Bollywood. And it shows that she is pretty agog about her first tryst with small screen. Though she was seen on the small screen many times, but it was as a celebrity guest. Now she is going to host the India’s first celebrity dare show.

This time, she is going to host a total of 16 episodes. The shooting will start by August, and the show will be seen on the TV in September. Since she has ‘replaced’ Akshay, and has come as host, so comparisons are bound to happen. But she steers clear of all the comparisons, and states that she can never be like Akshay. She is trying to host it in her own way.

“I’m not trying to step into Akshay’s shoes. If I try to I’ll fail miserably coz’ Akshay is the original ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’. I want to bring in my own personality into the show. I want to make it fun, lively, vivacious, youthful and funny too. I want to shake it up a little bit.”

She was also asked about her growing closeness with the chocolaty boy Ranbir Kapoor, and pat came the reply from her side. “I’ve known him for three years, but I got to know him better on the sets of ‘Anjaana Anjaani’ in New York. Ranbir’s a phenomenal actor, who keeps you on your toes, but he’s also great fun!”

When she was poked about her holiday in Goa with Shahid Kapoor, as usual, nothing came out, and she gave a perfect diplomatic answer by saying, “It’s a sheer coincidence that Shahid and I were in Goa at the same time. But so was half of Bollywood. It was designer Abu Jaani’s 50th birthday. Abhishek, Ash and a whole lot of others were also there.”
