This Aishwarya-Rajnikanth song costs Rs 30 Crores!

Aishwarya Rai-Rajnikahnth starrer 'Robot' aka 'Endhiran' will the the most expensive film made in India with a titanic budget of 120 crores.

After the thundering success of Shivaji: The Boss, 'Robot' re teams superstar Rajnikanth and ace director S.Shanker. Director Shankar had planned for his trademark signature song that is usually extravagant and the budget for that was quoted to be close to Rs 30 crores.

But the juice of the film is that Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai was offered a whopping 6 Crores to play the female lead. She has now become the highest paid Bollywood actress in history.

'Robot' has been in the tabloids for quite a while now. It is being believed that the Bachchan daughter-in -law Aishwarya is miffed with dear ‘Pa’ Amitabh over her yet to be released flick ‘Robot’, which has become a never ending woe for Ash.

According to reports, the reason for her displeasure is the fact that it was Amitabh who’d insisted upon her to sign on Shankar’s ‘Robot’ opposite Rajinikanth but now the movie seems to have become a thing of trouble for Ash. Apparently, Ash wasn’t too keen to give a nod to the movie’s proposal but it was ‘Pa’ who told her to go ahead as he was obliged to Rajini for the same.

Industry insiders suggest that the movie has been delayed to the hilt and it’s due to this that Ash is not able to sign on new projects since she has to finish off with ‘Robot’ first. Some reports even indicate towards a supposed string of disagreements between Ash and Shankar (the director of ‘Robot’) on the last minute changes in the script as well as over little nuances like make-up and clothes.

Bollywood stars vote in Indian elections

Bollywood stars on Thursday turned out in force to vote in India's general election, urging people to exercise their democratic right and make their voices heard.
Among the big names to cast their ballots at a school in the upscale Bandra West area of north Mumbai were leading actor-director Aamir Khan, megastars Shahrukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and his family, plus screen hunk John Abraham.

"Being an Indian it is our duty to come out and vote," said Aamir Khan, whose blockbuster film "Ghajini" recently became the highest grossing Hindi-language film of all time.
"We should elect good people... who don't divide the country. We should elect clean and honest people in politics," he added, as Mumbai went to the polls in the third phase of India's five-stage, month-long election.
Shahrukh Khan, who held the previous Bollywood box office record with "Om Shanti Om," said voters should choose the best-qualified candidates and be patient for change.

"People expect politicians to solve problems immediately. But it's not that easy. It takes time. That's why we should vote and give a chance to better people," he said.
Abraham echoed Aamir Khan, calling for stable government and reminding voters in the world's biggest democracy that they can make a difference.

"After 26/11 (the November 26 Islamist militant attacks on Mumbai) you saw the power of democracy. People were very angry against the government. The chief minister (of Maharashtra state) had to resign," he told reporters.
"That's the power of democracy," the "Dostana" (Friendship) star added, urging as many young people as possible to vote.
Actress Shilpa Shetty, who owns a share in the Rajasthan Royals cricket team, said she could not make it to vote as she was in South Africa, where the Indian Premier League Twenty20 tournament is being played.
But she wrote on her blog that "now is the time to make the decision, don't waste your democratic right to choose.

The remarkable chemistry between Neil & Preity for Morellato

There couldn’t have been a better pairing exuding impeccable chemistry! Yes, we are talking about the hot hunk Neil Nitin Mukesh and our very own bubbly and chirpy Preity Zinta who have been roped to endorse the Italian brand of watches, Morellato.

Insiders have it that the makers themselves came down to India to rope in this sensational actor for the reason that ‘Neil has got the looks of an international star, and, with his stubble on, he looks rugged.’ It is also said that the brand was particularly looking for the tough look, and that’s exactly the reason they did not settle with any chocolate boy Bollywood star, as they wanted to maintain brand image in an international market also.

Not to mention here that the two are looking so good together that we definitely can see filmmakers queuing outside their house to cast two of them together in some films in future.
