Kareena Kapoor Works with Madhur's film based on Marilyn Monroe’s life

For some time now, we’ve been hearing that Madhur Bhandarkar’s film with Kareena Kapoor is based on the life of a successful actress whose career eventually goes downhill.

The cat is now out of the bag. Known for his penchant for bringing out reality on cinema, Madhur Bhandarkar’s Kareena starrer will be based on American superstar Marilyn Monroe’s life. There will be some modifications, of course.

A close friend of Madhur reveals, “Madhur has always been fascinated by Marilyn Monroe’s life. He has wanted to make a film on her since a long time, but things did not fall into place. Now, he is completely ready with the subject of this new film.

One can definitely say that film is inspired by Marilyn’s life. It may not be an exact representation of Marilyn’s life but there will be several elements from the late Hollywood star’s life.”

“Madhur didn’t want to go wrong with this film. Marilyn’s life was quite controversial and Madhur didn’t want to take any risk by portraying her in a wrong way.”

Madhur’s friend informs that Madhur is unlikely to go wrong now since he has done a lot of research on the actress. “He read a lot to know as much as he could about Marilyn. More importantly, he also watched many documentaries based on her life.

He approached Kareena to play the lead role only when he was sure that he could translate every aspect of his research into a story.”

So how many men come into Kareena’s life in Madhur’s film? “Five men. He is talking to many male actors to star opposite Kareena,” adds the friend.

Marilyn Monroe (June 1, 1926 - August 5, 1962)

Marilyn Monroe was an American actress, singer and model. She shot to fame when her acting performance in The Asphalt Jungle and All About Eve were well received.

She was particularly praised for her comic roles in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Some Like It Hot, The Seven Year Itch and How To Marry a Millionaire.

She had three marriages. She was also known for her romantic involvement with Frank Sinatra and there were also rumours that she was involved with President John F Kennedy and his brother Senator Robert Kennedy at the same time.

The final years of Monroe's life were marked by illness, personal problems, and a reputation for being unreliable and difficult to work with. Her death was officially classified as a "probable suicide".

Katrina Kaif-Priyanka Chopra: Wants to eyeing solo-heroine projects Only?

Katrina Kaif is sitting pretty in her own little niche in tinsel town and there’s no way she’s going to step out of it or do anything that jeopardizes her smooth-sailing career. Little surprise then that she chose to excuse herself from director Anurag Basu’s film with Ranbir Kapoor when she learnt that Priyanka Chopra will have a pivotal role in it.

Anurag Basu had purportedly planned a casting coup by finalizing Ranbir, Katrina and Priyanka for the same film. And Katrina’s detractors felt it was a forgone conclusion that Priyanka, being a better actress, would walk away with plaudits.

But Katrina has nipped that possibility in the bud by simply opting out of the project.

Katrina says her preference at this point of her career is to do only solo-heroine films. On top of it, she’s is utterly excited to have bagged the Hindi remake rights of a French film. She plans to produce the film and act in it as well. And with her date diary already chock-full of commitments, she had to opt out of some film to accommodate the remake. The axe fell on Basu’s film with Ranbir and Priyanka, in which she might have been reduced to a second fiddle.

Confirming to a tabloid that she’s eyeing solo-heroine projects only, Katrina said: “...I'm happy in the space I am. Why should I unnecessarily rock the boat?”

Bipasha Basu's tantrums are growing quite frequent. Most recently, she stomped out of a dealers' convention (organised by a brand she endorses) in Ahmedabad on Sunday night, after committing to it.

Reveals a source present at the event, "Bipasha was to make an appearance and the organisers were to pay her attendance fees immediately after. She would be expected to attend, sit in for an hour, meet contest winners, give out prizes on stage, do some photo-ops and leave. The actress came in more than an hour late. Nobody knows why."

Quick exit
That wasn't all. The source adds that because Bipasha had come in late, she could only meet half the contest winners. The event had started without her, She refused to wait for an hour saying she was in a hurry and had to leave. The event managers and the brand folk refused. The actress got up, almost rudely ticking them off and stomped out to her car. In fact, she was so upset that she even left her managers behind before anyone could even react!"

She soon had a change of heart. Adds the source, "After driving halfway, Bips called the organisers and told them that she wanted to come back but by that time everyone had had enough of her moody, cranky behaviour. They politely told her that they didn't need her. They had spoken to Malaika Arora Khan who was already present there (she was performing at the event) and she had agreed to step into Bipasha's shoes. In fact, the organisers are so livid with Ms Basu that they have even held her appearance payment back. You can't come to an event, insult people and walk away!"

A nightmare
A source close to Bipasha says, "It was a logistical nightmare. There was a long waiting period between the two activities she was supposed to do. The event was within a certain timeline and it was one of those rare occasions where everything didn't fall in place. She wasn't late for the event nor was the event delayed because of her."

The source insists that it wasn't anybody's fault - not the organisers, nor Bipasha's nor the brand she endorses. "It's unfortunate that this happened and the onus is always on the artist to spearhead the course of events which follow after that. Bips was the artist involved so unfortunately, the onus comes to her. If everyone had kept their cool, this unfortunate incident wouldn't have taken place."

Why did she leave her managers stranded at the event? "Bipasha took one of her managers as she normally does. But most people would think she left the whole team behind, which is not true."

Kareena Kapoor has turned down a television offer!

Kareena Kapoor is one actress, who lives life king-size and wouldn't settle for anything small. Though many popular actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Shilpa Shetty and others have tried their hands on the small screens, Kareena has turned down a television offer.

It is said that the bold and beautiful actress was offered a television show based on her - titled Main Kareena Kapoor Banna Chahti Hoon for a whopping amount but she turned it down with the excuse that she would rather concentrate on her film career than try her hands on something small. She said that getting into television is an exciting option but would concentrate on one thing.

With promising films like Ra.1 with Shahrukh Khan, Golmaal 3 and Agent Vinod on hand, Kareena certainly has no time for television.

Salman Khan to work with Vimala Raman?

With most the reigning actresses in South Indian film industry flying down to Bollywood, actress Vimala Raman doesn’t want to be an elision. Yeah! The actress is now set to make her debut in Bollywood with Ambapali, which is a remake of yesteryear flick with the same title.

The original version had actress Vyjayanthimala Bali performing the lead role of a princess and is now enacted by Vimala Raman. According to the sources, the film will be directed by Ashutosh Gowariker (director of Hrithik Roshan-Aishwarya Bachchan starrer Jodhaa Akbar and Aamir Khan’s Lagaan). It seems that Salman Khan has been approached to do the lead role and rest of the star-casts will be finalized shortly.

Closer sources of Vimala Raman have mentioned that the actress is very much elated with this big offer as the producers have paid her a big sum.

Priyanka Chopra feel Uncomfortable on the set of Saath Khoon Maaf in kashmir

Recently, while shooting for a reality show, Priyanka Chopra couldn’t stop sneezing and that’s when she discovered that she was allergic to dust. Despite being aware of her allergy, the actress continued to shoot for Vishal Bhardwaj’s  Saat Khoon Maaf  in one of the dustiest locations in Kashmir.

A source reveals, “On Friday morning, the team was shooting in an extremely dusty site in Kashmir, which was making Priyanka uncomfortable. But like a thorough professional, she continued to shoot without complaining about it.”

Fortunately for Priyanka, her earlier sneezing experience has made her a veteran at handling the ‘tickly’ situation. The source continues, “During the break, Priyanka started sneezing. Since she has been through this earlier, she immediately took the necessary precautions. But she didn’t mention her allergy to the director. People thought that it was the cold Kashmir weather, which was making her sneeze.”

Once a sneezer, always a sneezer. “After pack-up, Priyanka headed to her hotel where she got some respite, but the sneezing didn’t stop completely. The next morning, her nose betrayed her again but she was fine after she took care of it,” adds the source.


Priyanka didn’t really think it was a big deal and says, “I believe you gotta do, what you gotta do for your film.”

Priyanka Chopra play Important Roll between Ranbir and Katrina Kaif story!

After the much hyped secret meetings of Ranbir and Katrina in the US recently, things had started to hot up at the personal lives of these two stars, but their supposedly last flick together, ‘Khamoshi’, directed by Anurag Basu, has a new twist.

Reportedly, the film will now have Priyanka Chopra, in a pivotal role as well. Even though she will be appearing after the interval, but her portrayal of a mentally disabled character is the talk of the town. It seems that this will be one of her most difficult roles till date, even though the actress feels that the film she is shooting right now ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’ has a very challenging role.

The film ‘Khamoshi’ has Ranbir Kapoor playing a mute and deaf character, and Katrina playing a very powerful and renowned character. With Priyanka’s inclusion in it, playing a mentally challenged character, it sure is going to be one of a kind film to watch.

Don 2, Dhoom 3, Wanted 2, Partner 2, Race 2: Raining sequels in 2011.

Even though sequels are hugely popular in Hollywood, they have never gained that much popularity in Bollywood. Many sequels have failed miserably, thus restricting filmmakers to try out the sequels of popular films.However, times are changing in Bollywood and recent sequels have gained huge popularity and have been box office hits too.

Munnabhai M.B.BS.is one such film which has changed the notion of sequels in Bollywood. The first part was extremely popular and the second film, too, was a huge box office success.

Same can be said of Dhoom. The first film literally changed the career graph of three star-Abhishek Bacchan,John Abraham and Uday Chopra.It’s sequel Dhoom 2 made the people crazy with superb locations, never seen before action stunts and its overall slick look.

People will get to see their favourite stars once more and will also have the opportunity to find out what happened after the first movie was over as sequels are making a comeback next year. One sequel that is eagerly awaited is Abbas Mastan’s Race 2.

The original Race explored dark themes of jealousy, sibling rivalry, lust for wealth and even partner swapping to a certain extent. It was one of the highest grosser at the box office and earned critical acclaim too. It is believed that in Race 2, the original starcast will be retained except Bipasha Basu, who will be replaced by another actress. This, however, is not confirmed.

Dhoom 3 is also expected to release in 2011.It is rumoured that Aditya Chopra himself will direct this film and there will be some alterations in the star cast too.

Partner 2 also is expected to release this year. All the stars from the original movie will come together once again to make the audience laugh.

Farhan Akhtar’s Don 2 is slated to be released in the later part of 2011.This movie itself was a remake of the 178 Don. It has been speculated that all the original stars of Farhan Akhtar’s Don including Shahrukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Om Puri will be there in the film.

Boney Kapoor produced ‘Wanted 2’which is the sequel of Wanted, was supposed to get released this year, but now it is heard that it will get released only in 2011.

Katrina Kaif had mild Accident on the sets of Tees Maar Khan

It seems this year has been one big accident zone for the hot and sexy actress Katrina Kaif. She seems to have become prone to accidents at the drop of a hat.

According to news reports, the actress had a mild accident on the sets of Farah Khan’s ‘Tees Maar Khan’.

Recently, According to the buzz, there was a rain song being picturised by the film unit with Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif. During the shoot, there was water to be slashed on to Kats face. After which Akshay was to pick her up, and the romantic sequence was to be captured on camera. However, revealed the source, as the water being splashed on to Kats face had gone into her eyes, she couldn’t see properly, and lo and behold, bang on, she bumped her own head against Akshay’s head!

Now, normally such a bang on collision would have caused quite a commotion. But, our action hero, who is the real macho star, refused to budge; he resumed the shoot even though the pain would have been bothering him.

Even though this bit of accident saved a lot of trouble to the unit of the film, the two stars, that are Akshay and Katrina, really had got a big blow.

But, our dear Kat, who is as accident prone as a small kitty, which is proved by the fact that even while shooting for ‘Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani’, she had injured her nose, during one of the songs picturisation, should surely be more careful next time, hope she’s listening!

Kareena Kapoor is now in Reality Show on TV Screen!

Reports are coming in thick and fast about Kareena Kapoor being approached by a popular channel to judge a Reality show titled ‘Main Kareena Kapoor Banna Chahti Hoon’.Now, this bit of news, reportedly excited Kareena a lot.

But, the hot actress had to decline the offer, saying that right up to 2011, all her dates are absolutely jam packed.

Her schedule for the coming year is already jotted down carefully in her diary: for instance, right now; she is in Goa, shooting for ‘RA 1’. After that from April first week onwards, the shooting of the film ‘Golmaal 3, will begin, which is also going to be in Goa. From May 20th, her shooting schedule for the film ‘Agent Vinod’ will start, in Mumbai. After which her film with Madhur Bhandarkar shall go on the floors from September onwards.

Thus, according to the sexy actress, she has no time for the small screen right now. Even though she does appreciate the offer, she did realize that traveling to various cities for the auditions, and the final judgment would require quite a lot of time, which she would not be able to give due to her previous commitments.

Thus, for all those who wanted Bebo right into their living rooms, will just have to wait for some time atleast!

Ranbir Kapoor: I am not a Chocolate Boy, Chocolate is a dirty word!

According to recent reports, actor Ranbir Kapoor is now claiming to be a grown up. That is to say, he is no longer a boy, but has transformed into a man, by his own admission.

The suave actor, who recently came to a social event with a pair of glasses on, looked a bit out of place. When asked, about his chocolate boy image, he simply said that ‘Chocolate was a dirty word. He was determined to be labeled as a man now.

Considering all the Brand Endorsements that he is being showered with, his association with some clothing line has perhaps made him more aware of his image. Thus, now, the self proclaimed man, has matured to be confident enough to give up the title of a chocolate boy.

The actor also stated with a matter of fact air that, he was very much single right now, and he was enjoying his single status. When asked about his spectacles, he stated that it was to hide his under eye problem which he had developed to due over stress and lack of rest. He however cleared in the end that he did have some power in both his eyes.

Now, Ranbir, we can understand the work bit, but hope you’re not spending sleepless nights, as dark circles can be very difficult to get rid off you know!

Hrithik Roshan Becomes a Super Singer!

The man who dances like god, whose looks resembles with god (Greek god, to be specific), and whose acting is just too good to be compared with anyone, has another decoration for his broad shoulders.

Hrithik Roshan is making his debut as singer in his eagerly awaited movie Kites. He has confirmed this news and said that he has rehearsed a lot for this song. We all have known his commitment towards his work, and this time also, he is not leaving any stone unturned.

‘Early in the morning, I would start with my sa re ga ma… right from the time I would wake up to brushing my teeth to taking the shower, all the time I sang with hand movements trying to reach the highest scale and the lowest note,’ Hrithik said.

Hrithik has a musical background. His grandfather Roshan was a renowned music director in 50’s and 60’s, and also his uncle Rajesh Roshan is also a famous music director of present time. But he was a bit apprehensive about his singing skills and he revealed that he got encouragement from many people.

‘I was nervous to make my debut as a singer, considering I come from a family that is well known in the world of music, but for this very reason my chacha (Rajesh Roshan) and director Anurag Basu were most certain that I could sing,’ Hrithik said

‘My niece has learnt piano and she has this little Casio player which I borrowed. And I have the knack of finding any tune on any instrument. So I practiced on that for a week. Then I realized that it won’t work like that and I got a professional trainer.

‘I have given this song my best and honest shot but I still don’t consider myself a professional singer,’ he added.

He also shared a few things about his rehearsals. He said that he used to go in ‘meditative state’ while he was rehearsing.

‘I had fallen in love with the art of shutting your eyes from the world and going in meditative state where you just sing. But when I went to the studio, it was a totally different story.

‘I told them to just switch off all the lights of the studio because I wasn’t being able to get my best out. So they just blacked out the entire studio. I could not even see my mike because it was so dark. This blackout worked and helped me to come out of the inhibitions in the mind. That’s how I finally worked,’ he added.

When he was asked about Suzanne’s reaction on this, he very sweetly replied, ‘She is obviously completely biased. She feels I am the best singer in the world. She compares me to Elvis Presley,’

Amrita Rao-Vivek Oberoi: Mr and Miss Bombay Times Fresh Face 2010!

Action was happening at KC College on Monday evening, as Mumbai collegians competed keenly for the coveted title of Mr and Miss Bombay Times Fresh Face.

The grand finale befitted the event that kickstarted in January when Fresh Face fever caught on in city colleges and the contestants’ progress was closely registering a vote count of 25 lakhs! Monday saw the contest to a stunning end with two college hotties walking away with the title of Mr and Miss Bombay Times Fresh Face and four others being declared the runners-up in each category respectively.

There was fun, glam and non-stop excitement as round after round the contestants, looking gorgeous in Nishka Lulla and Troy Costa’s designer wear, wowed the judges and the audiences with their walk-n-talk and thrilling performances.

Judges, Bollywood stars Vivek Oberoi and Amrita Rao, were an absolute hit with the audience as was film director Imtiaz Ali. The show, choreographed by Marc Robinson, also had DJ Akbar and emcee Harsh, and was hugely entertaining.

The contestants had full support from their college friends and amidst the din and cacophony of whistles drums, and trumpets, the winners were crowned by Amrita, Vivek and Imtiaz. Aanam Chashmawala of MMK College danced and charmed her way to win the Miss Bombay Times Fresh Face 2010, while Tanuj Parakh’s (Jai Hind) mimicry of Johnny Depp, Irrfan Khan and Batman’s Joker saw him make it to the top as Mr Bombay Times Fresh Face 2010.

Crowd fave Avinash Tewari (MMK) beat-boxed his way to become the first runner-up, while Arshima Thapar’s yoga saw her declared as the first runner-up too. Arzan Antia (Jai Hind) and Susan Vaidyan (St Xavier’s) impressed all with their vocal talent to walk away as the second runners-up.

Amidst excited high-fives, tears and joyous hugs, the winners walked the ramp with the Bollywood stars and as Amrita and Vivek pointed out: “These kids are the real stars!” And what did these ‘fresh stars’ have to say? “Watch out Mumbai, here we come!” they called out in unison.

Aishwarya Rai Becomes a Most Expensive Actress(Review)

Bollywood beauty queen Aishwariya Rai Bachchan was not seen in any films last season. She was given the onus of handling the promotions for Paa, and managing ABCL the Bachchan home production house, by Paa-in-law Big B, but she sure was missing from onscreen action all of 2009.

As if to make up, she has four movies in a tow lined up for 2010. Not just that, the glam girl who refuses to show her age has stakes over 300 crores (3 billion) riding on her back in the process.

Mani Ratnam's Raavana inevitably tops the list. This film is a modern day adaptation of Ramayana and is being shot for Hindi and Tamil versions, where Aishwarya will portray Sita in both. The  story has been told from the king of demons, Raavana's  point of view. An amazing news is that in the Hindi version, Sita (Aishwariya) will be abducted by her real life hubby Abhishek Bachchan who will play the role of Raavana. Slotted for release this June, the movie has an investment of approximately Rs. 45 crores (450 million). It is heard that the shooting regime for this movie was extremely hard in terms of geographic and weather factors, but Aish was dedicated to her task and did it all without tantrums or qualms.

Next is Endhiran. Boasting of a Rs. 125 crores (1.25 million) budget, this bilingual sci-fi is directed by Shankar along with veteran  Rajinikanth who is confident of the movie's success as Aishwarya Rai is all set to travel with him in the movie.

Pairing up with khiladi Akshay Kumar for the second time Aishwarya will sizzle in this Vipul Shah's flick Action Replay, which is due for release in the latter half of 2010. This Aish-Akki starrer is said to be costing the production upto Rs. 60 crores (600 million). A time travel tale that goes back to the 50's, the story is based on an eponymous Gujrati Indian play, wherein the director has gone many lengths to assure the freshness of retro avatars for the lead stars. Shah, who has roped in designers Manish Malhotra and Shabina Khan for this task is positive that the appearances of the actors in this movie are its biggest USP.

Last, but certainly not the least in terms of its anticipating audiences, is Guzaarish that marks the comeback of renowned director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and the much-loved  on screen pair of Aishwarya-Hrithik Roshan, after the success of Ashutosh's Jodha Akbar. The film's script is very fresh because it's about a married nurse who falls in love with a paraplegic man portrayed by adonis Hrithik. UTV has been reported to shell out as much as Rs. 80 crores (800 million) in the making of Guzaarish.

With this Aishwarya becomes the most expensive heroine with Rs 300 crore riding on her defeating her contemporaries.  Aishwarya will be portraying a vast variety of roles in her movies this year and along with significant  cash doled out for these ventures, we sure hope the movies will haul back ample gold for blue eyed lady at BO.

Priyanka Chopra in Khatron Ke Khiladi

After having replaced Akshay Kumar in the action packed reality show on Television, there were quite a few doubts in several people’s minds, regarding Priyankas abilities to carry on the league left behind by the action man of bollywood.

What was the main criteria was, how can a girl manage to do those difficult stunts? Or how can a girl be as harsh as a guy with the contestants? Now, piggy chops, who heard all these comments, was quite confident, when she said that in the show, she would be really very mean.

Which suffices to show, that she will be as harsh as the format demands her to be, or as harsh as Akshay was on the show. According to reports, some of the stunts are so difficult and nasty that, some contestants just cannot get on with it. But, it is up to the anchor of the show, to encourage them and not to get emotionally swayed by the tears or the pathos created on location.

The actress further confirmed that she would do most of the difficult stunts herself; so as to boost the morale’s of the cricketers in the show. Now, with a very mean Priyanka on the show, performing scary stunts, it remains to be seen if the cricketers are scared of her or intimidated by her or will everything pull off just as well as the previous seasons of the show!

DLF IPL 2010: IPL Team's present with a Name of a Bollywood Films

Tonight the 23rd match got over and the recent standings have a lot to say about all the teams. Mumbai Indians  and Royal Challengers Bangalore are arguably the best team till now as Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Daredevils are trying to catch them.

Chennai Super Kings are also in the hunt as Deccan Chargers are also looking pretty good even after losing tonight’s encounter against Royals. But Kolkata Knight Riders and Kings XI Punjab looks like lost cases at this point of time.

1. Mumbai Indians (Hum Saath Saath Hain): Why??? Coz they are playing like a focused unit and last night when we thought that Dhoni’s tactics would crush them like a pack of cards, Captain and the head of the family Sachin Tendulkar lead the team from the front and was well supported by the young lad Sikhar Dhawan. Even they are getting everything right with their bowling. Zaheer and Malinga are providing the perfect start for them and Harbhajan Singh is doing his job in the middle overs. This could only happen when you live together, drink together and of course fight together so “Hum Saath Saath Hain”.

2. Royal Challengers Bangalore (Jo Jeeta Wahi Sikandar): Their first match against KKR obviously didn’t go the way they wanted it to be. But then they made a comeback like Sikander against Kings XI and so there journey started from their. Their next exploits was seen against the Mumbai Indians and the R.Vinaykumar over sealed the fate of the match. Though we still judge them by their dismal performance of the last season but they are like Sikander and has the potential of conquering the world but sometimes they do get unlucky. But I am very much confident that they will do it this time coz Jo Jeeta Wahi Sikander.

3. Deccan Chargers (Sarfarosh): The team is packed with gutsy players that include the likes of Captain Gilchrist, Symonds and Gibbs, Rohit Sharma, Chaminda Vass and RP Singh. Though their boldness sometimes have backfired but still the holders are a force to reckon with coz “Sarfaroshi ki tammana ab hamare dil mein hain..dekh na hai zor kitna baazu-e-qaatil mein hai”.

4. Chennai Super Kings (Baazigar): Dhoni and Co. is definitely the Baazigar

team of IPL. They might be losing their crucial encounters now but don’t

forget the hard hitting of Dhoni and Haydos and the solid support line of

Raina and Badrinath. The bowlers aren’t performing at their best but they

just need one game to turn it on and Dhoni being an inspirational leader can

turn the table for his team. So the losses doesn’t matter at all coz they will

reach the last 4 its just a matter of time that they start winning their

Shahid-Kareena Kapoor: Promot Milenge Milenge music video Today

The film in question has been in the making for quite sometime now with the starcast apparently having issues about promoting the film. However, now we hear that Shahid Kapoor has decided to go ahead and promote his film with Kareena Kapoor, Milenge Milenge.

Sources close to the film have confirmed that Shahid Kapoor is shooting a promotional music video for the film today. Choreographed by Ahmed Khan, shoot of Shahid's portions are to be finished by today.

However, as for Kareena, it's yet to be confirmed whether she will be a part of the said music video, which also features her one time beau, Shahid Kapoor.

Priyanka Chopra: Kills her seven husbands In Saat Khoon Maaf!

Priyanka Chopra, the lead actress of  Saat Khoon Maaf  , seems more than ready to play yet another challenging role. This time she plays a woman who kills her seven husbands. Dressed as a Muslim woman complete with a  salwar kameez  and  burqa  , Priyanka and Irrfan Khan, who plays one of her husbands, were shooting at Srinagar’s famous Shalimar Gardens.

The beautiful garden was built by Mughal Emperor Jahangir for his wife Nur Jahan in 1619. The stars were shooting amidst tight security and enthusiastic tourists were asked to keep off some areas of the garden where the shooting was on in full swing and they were a tad disappointed on being told not to click photographs of the film unit.

The unit of Saat Khoon Maaf is expected to travel all over the country. Besides Irrfan, Naseeruddin Shah, his son Vivaan Shah, John Abraham, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Anu Kapoor and an undisclosed Russian actor play Priyanka’s husbands.

Vidya Balan-Rani Mukharji: Amazing film shoots on the Public area!

Vidya Balan and Rani Mukerjee had to shoot in old Delhi’s crowded areas for No One Killed Jessica. But how could that possibly happen without a mob surrounding them when Rani and Vidya are both such popular names?

Director of the film, Rajkumar Gupta, who earlier made the Rajeev Khandelwal starrer Aamir, wanted to shoot the film on real lanes with hidden cameras. He wanted to shoot Vidya and Rani as part of the crowd to give an authentic feel to the film.

He did the same thing with Rajeev while shooting for Aamir in Mumbai. The candid shots with hidden cameras give a better look to the scene. He hadn’t realized the security risk he was undertaking when he asked Rani and Vidya to do it the same way.

He wanted to shoot in jam-packed lanes where vans wouldn’t be able to reach and not usual areas like Chandni Chowk. But he was suddenly very unsure of his plan when they reached the location in a van. He reveals that he was only able to do the shoot only because they assured him. The two actresses got into the crowd and shot for a while until people began to recognize them. Before the problem got out of hand, they would rush into the van and then leave for another place in old Delhi.

Amisha Patel-Shilpa-Maanyata: The New girlie gang in town

Priyanka Chopra Refused Hollywood Film Offer

She might be one of the most ambitious actresses in Bollywood today, but Priyanka Chopra knows what her priorities are.

While most of our Bollywood actresses would never miss a chance to star in a Hollywood film, Priyanka recently refused to star in Dawn of War. And it wasn’t because she didn’t like the script. The only reason Priyanka turned down the offer was because she chose to star in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Saat Khoon Maaf instead.

A source said, “The dates of Dawn of War and Saat Khoon Maaf were being worked out at the same time and Priyanka was asked to allot her dates in early April.

Left with no choice but to choose one of the two projects, Priyanka didn’t think twice before agreeing to star in Bhardwaj’s film. Priyanka was given a copy of the script of Dawn of War while she was shooting in the US for Siddharth Anand’s Anjaana Anjaani.”

After Priyanka refused the offer, director Tarsem Singh signed Freida Pinto to star opposite British actor Henry Cavill. Priyanka is currently shooting in Gulmarg and Srinagar for Saat Khoon Maaf and remained unavailable for comment.

IPL 2010: Top 5 failure Players of IPL after 21 matches!

With the first 21 matches down in IPL-III, we pull down a list of 5 players who failed to rise up to the expectation. Here are the top 5 failures of IPL after 21 matches:

1. Yuvraj Singh: His team has lost 5 matches out of the 4 they played till now and one man who could have made the difference has failed to rise up to the occasion. He is dominating the headlines with his off-the field comments and his new girlfriend, I just hope that he gets it right in the field the next time he comes out to bat and doesn’t throw his wicket like he did in the previous encounters.

2)     Sourav Ganguly: He might have done his bits with his captaincy in the first

two matches against Deccan and Bangalore but the last three matches have

been a complete disaster for him. His test match like batting has come under

severe criticisms and he is also blamed for his team failure. It’s high time for

him to perform or perish.

3. Tilekratne Dilshan: The power performer for the Daredevils last year hasn’t been able to strike chords properly this year. He is still left to score big runs in IPL-III and I hope he does it soon.

Salman Khan struck up a nice camaraderie with his co-prisoner Mahesh

Salman Khan’s stint in prison had been the talk of the town for a number of weeks. Just to refresh your memories, I would like to feed you with the recap that how Salman was behind bars on a number of occasions for allegedly killing a Chinkara deer while shooting for ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain.’

During this days in the cage, Salman struck up a nice camaraderie with his co-prisoner Mahesh Kumar Saini and now that Mahesh is a free bird (out of the jail), he gives us a few unknown tit bits about Salman’s life inside the prison.

Reflecting back on those days of darkness, Mahesh narrates, “On the first day, he was tense. I was the jail monitor, so I chatted with him and took him for a prison tour. Salman is addicted to coffee. He wanted one cup every hour. He hardly ate anything except the chocolates his brother Sohail had given him. He had many visitors. The ones I knew were his sister Alvira and brother Sohail. On the second night, I made soya bean and we ate together.”

Mahesh also recounts how they entertained themselves by bending the jail rules. “We managed to sneak in dumb bells for him though they are not allowed. On the second day he was feeling bored. I arranged a carrom board for him and even a chess board.”

But, that’s not all. Salman who is known for his generosity gave Mahesh Rs 20,000 as a friendly gesture when Salman got the bail. However, the modest Mahesh refused to accept the money and so Sallu promised him a job whenever Mahesh gets his liberty.

Aishwarya Rai ready to beat any actress of Bollywood in 2010?

3. Action Replay- Pairing up with sexy Akshay, Aishwarya will sizzle again in this Vipul Shah’s thriller that boasts of a strong screenplay.

4. Guzaarish- 2010’s most anticipated film, it marks the comeback of renowned director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and the much-loved, screen-scorching pair of Aishwarya-Hrithik. The film’s script is afresh where a married nurse falls in love with a paraplegic man portrayed by the maverick Hrithik Roshan. The film will be a test of Aishwarya’s acting mettle.

Amazing Chemistry between Shahrukh and Kareena Kapoor!

Kareena Kapoor is paired with Shahrukh Khan in his latest home production. She was also his co-star in his second production Asoka. On the second day of shooting, she gets nostalgic...

They are paired together in his home production Ra.1 directed by Anubhav Sinha. The last film they had acted opposite each other was another SRK's home production - Asoka (2001).

She squeals excitedly from Goa, "After Asoka, we worked together in K3G but we weren't paired romantically. I did a song with him in Don and Billu. Ra.1 is his most ambitious project yet.”

She continues, "We share an amazing chemistry. When Shah Rukh and I shot yesterday the spark was there - it was as if no time had passed since Asoka. And it's been almost a decade."

Not surprised
Kareena says that she wasn't surprised when SRK offered her the role in Ra.1. "He spoke to me about the part when we were shooting for Marjaani song in Billu. He told me he was working on a super hero flick and was very excited about it. Then one day he called me and asked me if I would be a part of his film. When Anubhav narrated the script, I realised it had all the making of a blockbuster. I am really excited about my role. Though it's a fantasy film I have no stunts to do in the film. My character is that of a married woman and have a different look in the film."

Gush factor
She adds that she hasn't noticed any changes in Shahrukh's working style even after a decade, "He is hard working and very encouraging. I have never seen him sitting and doing nothing. Either he's discussing something with the director or cameraman or scriptwriter. He's so energetic and involved, that for me it's a huge effort to match up to his energy levels."

While Shahrukh remains one of her personal favourites amongst the Khans (SRK, Salman, Aamir, Saif) Kareena refuses to name one as her all-time favourite actor. "They all have truly unique and diverse personas (SRK's is magnetic, Aamir is a genius, Saif has an international Hollywood appeal and Salman is spontaneous) so it's unfair to choose any one as my favourite. The Khans are ruling the industry today and I am lucky to have worked with all of them."

His chivalry
Bebo is clearly impressed with her hero, and admires him most for his chivalry, "I remember his chivalry when I first met him when I was nine years old (at one of Karisma's shows in Muscat) and he is still the same. He is so protective and caring towards women that is hard not to be charmed. From a wide-eyed nine-year-old to playing his wife - it's been great to know Shahrukh. It's fun to be on a set with him. I feel at home on his sets as I can say and do anything that I want. He tells me that I look the best in his movies and I agree with that. He takes extra special care in everything and I feel so touched."

Today Kareena will take a chartered flight from Goa to Delhi to launch a new cell phone. The phone will also launch her interactive fan groups on Twitter and Facebook where Kareena will be seen chatting with her fans on the websites once a week.

Shahrukh khan, Kareena Kapoor, Neha Dupia be in Goa together

As the summer heat sets in, more and more stars are heading for Goa. While Shah Rukh Khan kicked off the shooting of his superhero film, Ra.1, in Goa on March 24, Abhishek Bachchan will soon be shooting there for Rohan Sippy’s Dum Maaro Dum. The Golmaal 3 cast including Ajay Devgan, Kareena Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, would also be in Goa soon, for a month-long schedule of the comic caper.

Actress Neha Dhupia also seems to have found her haven in the beaches of Goa. She tweeted on March 24, “Hawkers, tourists, fishermen, shack owners, fitness freaks and junkies.

You find all varieties on the beaches of Goa even at 6 a.m.!” And then again, on March 25, “Went for a swim in the ocean, initially thought I was going to get swept away and then got cradled by the waves and lay back, was beautiful!”

Salman Khan Film: Asin replace Deepika Padukone?

Bollywood can't loose Asin it seems. After doing Ghajini, which was her first film in Bollywood, she won great applause for her acting and no sooner she was bombarded with offers. Then came her London Dreams. She started off with Aamir in her first film and in London Dreams she had Salman and Ajay Devgn opposite her. But to her bad luck her role went unnoticed.

But Asin couldn't wait so long to bag offers in Bollywood competing with Kareena, Deepika, Vidya Balan etc. So she decided to pull herself back to her territory, Kollywood. But bollywood wants her back..latest buzz is that Asin is going to replace Deepika Padukone in a Salman film!

The grapevine has it that Salman called up the producers T Series and director Bazmee to replace Deepika with Asin. A source added that Salman is trying to bring back Asin to Bollywood as she is all set to go back to Kollywood and act opposite Vijay in the Tamil remake of Siddique’s Malayalam film Bodyguard.

Bipasha Basu: Turn to don multiple avatars in her Movie "Pankh"

Remember Priyanka Chopra donning 12 avatars in What's Your Rashee? This time it's Bipasha Basu's turn to don multiple avatars. Yes, she will be seen in nine different get ups in the film Pankh by director Sudipto Chattopadhyay.

Bipasha is working closely with costume designers, Rocky S. and Gavin Miguel for her looks in the film. Sudipto revealed that she even came up with a reference to Jennifer Lopez for one of her avatars.

He added that her nine looks cover the entire gamut of emotions her character goes through in the film. He has also fashioned two of her nine looks based on two Hollywood divas, Sophia Loren and Liza Minelli in Cabaret.

Deepika and Abhishek bonded big time in Khelenge Hum Jee Jaan Se

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has been linked with every actor she is seen with since her break-up with Ranbir Kapoor, and so, it comes as no surprise when the stories of her friendship with Abhishek Bachchan hit the headline. But this time, she is lucky, as everybody knows that Abhishek is happily married to Aishwarya Bachchan.

It is said that Deepika and Abhishek bonded big time on the sets of Khelenge Hum Jee Jaan Se by director Ashutosh Gowariker. They were spotted chatting endlessly between the shots. It is common knowledge that Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan don't get along well but that doesn't stop Salman's girlfriend Katrina Kaif from bonding with Shahrukh. The news is doing the rounds that she is getting too close to King Khan.

Katrina, who inaugurated the recent FICCI – Frames 2010 with Shahrukh, is in the news for all the wrong reasons. Rumourmongers are talking about her growing closeness to the Baadshah but she said that he is just an acquaintance.

She added that there is nothing to be made out of her meeting with him, as it is very normal to greet cordially when 'you meet somebody you know.'

It was speculated that she was getting closer to Shahrukh than she should. But it looks like she has been dragged into the dirty waters unnecessarily, as she is going steady with Salman for a few years now.

Shah Rukh Khan: I don't want to be anonymous!

Shah Rukh Khan, the Bollywood superstar, has become more than a little accustomed to being adored by millions.

"I don't want to be anonymous... I'm very honest about that. I love being recognized, I love people liking me, I love the fact that people scream when I go out. I think I'll miss all that when it's taken away," he told CNN.

But earlier this year comments by Khan, the owner of the Indian Premier League cricket team Kolkata Knight Riders, caused a storm of controversy and attention he didn't want.

Khan questioned the lack of Pakistani players in this year's competition, and Indian Hindu nationalist party Shiv Sena interpreted the comments as inflammatory.

Threats were made to boycott his latest film and some activists made some threats against him and his family's safety.

"It just went onto a political agenda platform, onto an activist platform. I'm not on the same playing field. I'm an actor, I'm not a politician," he said.

"This was my point of view... it wasn't as if I was saying something new. I didn't know it would cause so much trouble, and especially when a film was releasing, you don't want that kind of trouble. It just went completely through the roof."

Khan is keen to keep his roles as an actor, cricket team boss and icon for millions as far from the political realm as possible. His face is one of the most salable in India with his image used in a raft of adverts and supporting products.

Yet his recent film "My Name is Khan" did touch upon religious sensitivities, striking a chord among cinema goers in Muslim countries across the world. In the film Khan, himself a Muslim, plays an autistic Muslim immigrant in American soon after the terrorists attack on September 11, 2001.

"I really thought the film was about humanity. It's not about Islam, it could have been about any religion to be honest," he said.

"But I simply thought we made a film about humanity. I knew it would do well but I didn't know it would this well because it is a very niche sort of a subject."

Salman Khan: Film Ready remake by Anees Bazmee

Bollywood seems to be back to its remake trend, the current one being remaking south Indian superhits in Hindi. Anees Bazmee is doing just that with the south hit film Ready. The original Telugu film that starred Genelia and Ram will be now remade with Salman in the lead.

Speaking to Anees we learn, "Yes. I am doing the remake of the south film Ready, and have also confirmed Salman Khan to play the male lead in it. However, as for the leading ladies, I cannot speak about it now, as it's really too early and we haven't decided on it as yet."

Further he tells us, "As for the film itself, there is a long way to go as we still have to complete the scripting process since we want to retain some of the original while changing the rest to suit the Bollywood audience and hence the title as well is still awaiting to be finalized."

What about the rest of the cast of the film? "In terms of other cast members again I would say wait a little longer and all shall be revealed," signs off Bazmee.

Ready remake will be produced by T-Series.

Neha Dhupia-Kim Sharma: Attend Largest Mass Wedding in Karnataka

Bollywood actors Jackie Shroff, Jimmy Shergill, Neha Dhupia, Kim Sharma and Sunita Krishnamurthy were amongst the throngs of tens of thousands of guests at a mass wedding ceremony in Kalaghatagi, organised by mine owner Santosh Lad. And Kim Sharma is also too busy for marriage at the moment. The aspiring actress can be seen in this week’s big southern release Yaagam, a revenge movie with Navdeep and has also been seen around town with her new Spanish partner Carlos Marin. She will be seen with Navdeep again in her next movie, Sinam.
