Asin join the ‘Housefull 2’ team, Deepika Padukone Out: Deepika Padukone’s choc-a-bloc diary is posing problems for her. Producers can’t wait if she doesn’t have dates. So, instead of Deepika, Asin will be the new gal opposite Akshay Kumar in the sequel of Sajid Nadiadwala’s production Housefull.

Earlier, Asin had skipped the chance to work with Akshay in Priyadarshan’s comedy De Dana Dan. But this time, she is very much on board for Housefull 2 which is again going to be a comic caper. Sajid has confirmed her presence in the film.

As for Deepika, she might opt out of another Sajid Nadiadwala production Heer Ranjha which is pushed further because of her unavailability of dates. It’s heard that the makers are searching for another actress to step into the breach, in case Deepika can’t squeeze out dates for the film.

Right now, Deepika is working on Prakash Jha’s film Aarakshan and also has the multi-starrer Desi Boys.

Salman Khan 'married' Asin: Salman Khan ‘married’ actress Asin earlier this week in a hush-hush ceremony in which her parents were not invited, according to the media down south.

As the evidence, a photograph of Salman dressed as a dulha and Asin as his new bride was splashed in the press reports. Quite obviously, a lot of people believed it and Asin was flooded with congratulatory calls and messages.

But the actress can’t stop laughing because it was a shoot for her film Ready with Salman Khan. In the scene, Asin marries Salman against her parent’s wishes. Apparently, someone thought she was getting married for real and published the story which was picked up by others in the media down south. In fact, the news of Asin’s marriage even reached her native place Kerala.

The ‘marriage’ has now become the source of constant jokes on the sets of Ready, with Salman teasing Asin and boasting to everyone that he’s finally married.

The movie, starring Asin opposite Khan, is produced by Bhushan Kumar and is slated to release on May 27, 2011. It’s been partly shot in Sri Lanka for which there was a lot of protest down south in Tamil Nadu. Nowadays, the film is being shot in Mumbai.

Asin now busy at the shoot of her new film Ready with Salman: After Asin’s controversial visit to Sri Lanka for the shoot of her Salman Khan starrer Ready, the actress is once again facing the camera for her Vijay starrer Kaaval Kadhal in a bungalow on ECR in Chennai.

Asin, during her Sri Lanka shoot stirred a hornet’s nest back home in Tamil Nadu when she became the first Kollywood star to visit former LTTE strongholds of northern and eastern Lanka for social and humanitarian work.

But what made Tamil film industry see red was when she took an army chopper in the company of Shiranthi Wickramasinghe Rajapaksa, wife of the Sri Lankan president.

The actress was virtually crucified for no fault of her by the pro- Sri Lankan Tamil group, Nadigar Sangam and other film organizations. But better sense prevailed, due to the matured handling of the situation by Sarath Kumar and co.

Let us hope the matter has been sorted out and Asin can provide entertainment to lakhs of her fans worldwide. Meanwhile director Siddique is trying to complete the entire shoot of the film with this schedule.

Asin congratulate and wishing Dhoni for happy married life

Bollywood Actress Asin Thottumkal was linked to Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the past but the latter put an end to all the rumours by marrying Sakshi Singh Rawat recently. However, their past is not going to let them off. They bumped into each other a couple of days ago and had an awkward time.

“Asin has been in Sri Lanka for almost three weeks shooting with Salman Khan for Anees Bazmee’s Ready. The Indian cricket team is also in Colombo for the Test series. Coincidentally, Asin and Dhoni are put up in the same five-star hotel,” Mumbai Mirror quoted a source as saying.

Asin didn't meet M.S Dhoni and his wife, as she comes only late at night after shooting almost 12 hours a day. However, she run into Sakshi, followed by Dhoni one morning. She congratulated them and wished them a happy married life and left the scene quickly.

“Dhoni was normal and casual while greeting Asin. Sakshi, who was also present, just exchanged a few pleasantries with Asin and then everyone went their way. Asin to her shooting location, Dhoni to his game,” added the source.

She made her debut in Sathyan Anthikkad’s Narendra Makan Jayakanthan Vaka and tasted commercial success with Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi.She even won a filmfare award for the best Telegu actress. She debuted in Hindi film with’Gajini’which gave her both critical and commercial appreciation.

Abhishek Bacchan has tried his hands at regional films by playing roles in Bengali films like Desh and Antarmahal.He played small roles in both of these movies, but both the masses and the critics liked him in these films.

He debuted in Bollywood in “Rang De Basanti”where he played the intense Karan Singhania.His role was liked by all and it went on to become a cult film. In his latest Hindi film Striker, the audiences saw him as a Mumbai-based carrom player.

Madhavan is another actor who has done films in seven Indian languages. His first major role was in Alaipayuthey.Later on he did films like Kannathil , Aayutha Ezhuthu etc.Even though his maiden films in Hindi was not so successful, now he has got three blockbuster Hindi films including Rang De Basanti, Guru and 3 Idiots in his kitty.

Asin: The Quick replacement for Katrina Kaif in ‘Khamoshi’!

After the bad news always comes the good news. That’s exactly what happened to director Anurag Basu, who had got the sudden jolt when Katrina Kaif had suddenly decided to back out of his up coming project ‘Khamoshi’.

Reportedly, Katrina had back tracked from the project due to the fact that the director had signed on Priyanka Chopra as well in the film.

But, there were some other reasons cited from the Katrina Kaif quarters. It was announced that Kat had backed out as she had got hold of the rights of the remake of a French film, which she is going to produce, as well as act in. Besides, she was not interested in any double heroine projects. Whatever the reason, the film’s unit had got quite a shock with that one blow by Katrina.

But in bollywood, anything is possible. So, just a day after Kats announcement of backing out, the smart director got the latest bollywood in demand heroine Asin to sign on the dotted line. Now, this bit of news has made Asin go absolutely on top of the world, looks like the lady has suddenly got the magic wand of Salman Khan working wonders for her. Salman Khan Film: Asin replace Deepika Padukone?

Bollywood can't loose Asin it seems. After doing Ghajini, which was her first film in Bollywood, she won great applause for her acting and no sooner she was bombarded with offers. Then came her London Dreams. She started off with Aamir in her first film and in London Dreams she had Salman and Ajay Devgn opposite her. But to her bad luck her role went unnoticed.

But Asin couldn't wait so long to bag offers in Bollywood competing with Kareena, Deepika, Vidya Balan etc. So she decided to pull herself back to her territory, Kollywood. But bollywood wants her back..latest buzz is that Asin is going to replace Deepika Padukone in a Salman film!

The grapevine has it that Salman called up the producers T Series and director Bazmee to replace Deepika with Asin. A source added that Salman is trying to bring back Asin to Bollywood as she is all set to go back to Kollywood and act opposite Vijay in the Tamil remake of Siddique’s Malayalam film Bodyguard.
