Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif can't be friends!: Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif are clearly an exception to the rule that ex lovers can’t be friends.

The two have kept in touch on daily basis ever since they broke up recently. In fact, neither of them harbours any resentment or grouse against the other. And those who doubt if they will ever work together in a film again, here’s the scoop. Katrina and Salman will work together again, but there’s an unwritten pact between the two.

In a media report, Katrina says that after the debacle of Yuvvraaj, she and Salman decided that they would only do a film together if it is something “different” and “special” rather than a routine love story.

Moreover, Katrina adds that she and Salman talk or exchange messages every day. She says Sallu is her 4am friend. Unfortunately, the duo hasn’t yet received a film offer that they would feel is worth doing together. Farah Khan roped Salman in for just a song with Kat in Tees Maar Khan. But a full-fledged film is yet to happen.

1726 votes were cast and an overwhelming majority of them (73 percent) voted in favour of Salman. Clearly, the fans want Katrina and Salman to be back together.

Ranbir Kapoor, whom Katrina is rumoured to be dating even though she has alleged that she is single, got 22 percent votes. He has worked with Katrina in two films (Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and Raajneeti).

Neil Nitin Mukesh, who is single after breaking up from his girlfriend, got a meagre 5 percent votes. He has worked with Katrina in the last year’s hit film New York.

Salman and Katrina secret love break up: The Salman Khan- Katrina Kaif spat has taken an ugly turn. While Katrina had said she will not entertain any personal questions at press meets, Salman on the other hand doesn’t mind talking about her ‘ girlfriend’ in public.

Looks like the actor is either confused or he is finding it difficult to handle both the media and Katrina these days. To recall how this latest episode of spat started, it was Salman who created all the fuss by saying, “ I am single now.” Earlier, the actor had said that he wants to keep the audience and the media confused about his relationship status.

But during the premier of his recent movie release Dabangg, Salman did not think twice before saying that he was not “ Katrina’s secretary”. The actor shot off the ugly remark when he was asked why Katrina walked out reportedly in the middle of his Dabangg’s special screening a few days ago.

Salman scratched his chin and said, “ She had to board a flight to London, and I am not her secretary anyway. She can watch the movie anytime she wants.”

Says a close friend of Salman who was recently with both him and Katrina, "There is absolutely no problem between Katrina and Salman. I met the two of them recently and they were very fine in each other's company. Occasionally things go wrong in the best of the friends but at least as of now, there didn't seem to be any issues. They were chatting away and I didn't see any tension between the two of them."

Now this is expected to augur really well with film maker Farah Khan who would be shooting a special song with Salman and Katrina. While Akshay Kumar is the leading man in TEES MAAR KHAN, he would be enjoying the company of Salman and Katrina for this specially designed qawalli which is said to be the major highlight of the film.

"I too was told about so-called trouble between Salman and Katrina. In fact many questioned if it was a good decision after all to have the two share screen space with each other for this qawalli track," says Farah Khan who is now gearing up for the release of her Christmas extravaganza, "However, I don't see any reasons why the two of them coming together for the song would be of any issue at all. I don't see any strain between them that would hamper the shooting by any means. They are professionals as well as good friends of mine. I can't wait to have the two of them along with Akshay come together for this song."

Well, audience too carries the same sentiments.

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, who recently talked about their separation to the media while at the same time calling for some respect to their privacy, are set to get back together for an item song in director Farah Khan’s film Tees Maar Khan that stars Akshay Kumar and Katrina in lead roles.

It’s no secret that Salman has been on Farah’s mind for the said item for a long time. But his roping in for the same just days after the reports of his split with Katrina surfaced does make the things a bit complicated for the duo.

We hear that the song will also feature Akshay.

It will begin with Akshay and Salman and after a few minutes Katrina will make her entry and shake her leg with both Akshay and Salman. Rest assured there will be a number of scenes featuring only Kat and Sallu.

“I want everyone to be confused about my private life. That is fun. It’s quite amusing to watch the media create headlines out of my personal life,” said Salman with a sarcastic smile, in town on Sunday to promote his upcoming film Dabangg .

Confirming, Katrina and he were still very much together and happy, Salman added: “ No one wanted to listen to my full story when I said that Katrina and I had split. I was merely being pushed into saying something to that effect because the media kept asking me about my status with Katrina.

What I actually said was: If a split between Katrina and me makes you happy, then we have split.” At Sunday’s media meet, Salman continued goading journalists, saying that they should never stop asking him about Katrina. “ I have had a number of affairs. But I have started a new one only after ending the last one. If and when I feel the need to settle down, I won’t ask for anyone’s advice. I shall do my own thing,” he said.

So, is he seriously planning to marry Katrina? “ Till the time we don’t get officially married, everyone stays single technically. I can’t understand why everyone is so interested in knowing when we are getting married. Do people keep track of their own family, friends and neighbors when it comes to such things?” Of course, there is a popular notion that reports of a split crop up every time Salman or Katrina have a release coming up.

It happened last year, when Katrina’s Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani was about to release, and again when Rajneeti opened this year. In both films, her co- star was Ranbir Kapoor and rumours did the rounds that Katrina was getting cosy with Ranbir. Again, when Salman’s Veer opened earlier this year, reports of his closeness to the film’s debutant heroine, Katrina- look- alike Zarine Khan, did the rounds.

Right now, Salman has his biggest release of the year, Dabangg , coming up on September 10.
