Akshay Kumar's Housefull 2 announcement: Producer Sajid Nadiadwala has confirmed that director Sajid Khan and lead star Akshay Kumar will team up again in a sequel to Housefull.

"Yes, Khan and I are working on Housefull 2. Akshay Kumar will star in the film. The rest of the cast is not decided," Nadiadwala told Mumbai Mirror.

The two Sajids have a three film contract according to which Sajid cannot direct Akshay for any other production house.

"His (Sajid Khan's) three films for me will have Akshay as an exclusive in them," says Nadiadwala.

Housefull 2 will be Sajid's third film as per the contract after Heyy Babyy (2007) and Housefull (2010).

Housefull headlining Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone was released on April 30, 2010. Made on a budget of Rs 45 crore, the film earned Rs 71.94 crore at the box-office.

The two young and rising stars have never been paired in a film earlier.

It was recently reported that Shahid had signed up for the film to be directed by Sabir Khan (Kambakth Ishq).

According to a Deccan Chronicle source, Khan had wanted either Katrina or Deepika for the role. It went to Deepika because Katrina has her hands full with assignments.
