Deepika Padukone Fashion News: Looks like the leggy lass Deepika Padukone is making a great fashion statement consciously or unconsciously.

The sexy damsel who has floored millions of men including a certain Ranbir Kapoor (not to mention someone who goes by the name Yuvraj Singh) with her sizzling skimpy attires is now appearing everywhere in the traditional Indian saree.
First, it was Cannes where her sexily revealing saree created flutters amidst fans & media, &now it’s the look of her historic period piece ‘Khelen Hum Jee Jaan Se’ where she’s naturally clad in a cotton saree (surely one can’t expect an Indian pre-independent woman to be dressed otherwise).

Deepika lets her tongue loose flaunting her attitude through her confident words. Speaking of her saree stint in Cannes and the Abhishek Bachchan starrer film, Deepika candidly shoots, “My funda was simple. I had decided that if I was representing my country then I had to wear something traditional. For me it was more to go with the flow because that was the correct thing to do.”

“I am quite comfortable with a saree. While in an event like Cannes, it was imperative that I took my culture along, the saree look in ‘Khelen Hum Jee Jaan Se’ is but natural since the film is about a revolution against Brits in the pre-independence era.”
