Hrithik Roshan-Shahrukh Khan: Wanna be friends together

Hrithik Roshan and Shahrukh Khan the two loving brothers of the film’Khabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’, have begun to play their respective roles in real life too.

The two stars, when cast in that particular film, were not exactly in the best of relationships. Yet, there was a warm gesture of courtesy even then, between the two.

But, as destiny would have it, the star wives, that are Sussanne Roshan and Gauri Khan, have been the greatest of friends ever since they met. Thus, out of wedding bliss, the two actors have also started to gel well these days.  According to sources, Hrithik has confessed that he respects the bollywood Baadshah a lot, as even when they were just formal, he always kept a warm feeling of greeting Hrithik whenever they met. Thus, Shahrukh is very much respected by Hrithik. He also said that now a days, the relationship quotient between the two was pure love and respect for each other.

However, Hrithik went on to clarify that the two were actually a part of a large friend circle. The whole gang had Karan Johar, Farhan Akhtar,Sanjay Kapoor, Uday Chopra, Chunkey Pandey, Arjun Rampal, Ritesh Sidhwani and of course the two of them in it.

Now, with such a big gang of friends, need we say that the effect of reel life might have seeped into the two stars’ minds, so, the brotherhood touch is coming a wee bit naturally in the minds of both of them. Thus, if the relationship quotient is beyond friendship, then it has to be that brotherly feeling, right?

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan-Vikram: Amazing Scene Shoot in Film Raavana

The latest buzz doing the rounds in bolly circles is that the film ‘Raavana’s director Mani Ratnam had taken a real life like shot in one of the scenes, which nearly froze the unit due to fright  for a moment .

It so happened that the director, who had undergone a bomb scare in real life, when a bomb was hurled at him and luckily it burst in mid air just before it reached him, wanted to incorporate this particular scene in his film ‘Raavana’.

Now, the two leads that is, Aishwarya and the south star Vikram, were to be the ones to be attacked with the bomb. For the shoot, a petrol bomb was to be used, this had to be hurled from a distance of 25 feet, and it was supposed to burst mid air just 15 feet from where the stars were.

This bit of the scene was to be done with utmost accuracy. As everyone on the sets, including the action director were quite tensed, the leading actors, Aishwarya and Vikram, very bravely enacted the scene. The action master also had done the required act perfectly; the bomb exploded exactly the way the director wanted it to.

The actors braved it out and no one had the guts to say that they would not be able to do the stunt scene, out of fear, as no one wanted to upset the respected director’s wish.

However, since the shot has already been Okayed, it remains to be seen how effective it will be for the film.

Priyanka Chopra can't wait to be wooed with the Irrfan's luscious poetry

Priyanka Chopra who started shooting in Kashmir for Saat Khoon Maaf  has her first of her 7 screen husbands, Irrfan Khan, frantically preparing for his part of a love-stuck poet.

Irrfan had started his career as a film actor with the role of a love-stuck poet in Govind Nihalani's Drishti where he had got to make love to the older woman, the beautiful Dimple Kapadia.

In Saat Khoon Maaf again, Irrfan plays a besotted lover-boy, this time wooing Priyanka Chopra. And to help Irrfan get passionately poetic, there's the inimitable Gulzar's poetry that would be used for Irrfan's character. Gulzar Saab has apparently written some of his most romantic lines ever for Irrfan to woo Priyanka with. A diehard Gulzar fan, Priyanka can't wait to be wooed with the luscious poetry that Irrfan would be reciting.

The trick is to make Irrfan look much younger than his age for the role of the Cupid-challenged poet. The makeup artiste has been working since last week on Irrfan's face and body language to arrive at a look that would knock at least ten years off Irrfan's actual age.

Says Irrfan, "I play a shayar who is completely in love with Priyanka Chopra. Yes, the makeup artiste has worked out a look around my strange face so that for the first time I look different. In any case if one has to woo Priyanka, one automatically glows with romantic enthusiasm. She's very inspiring."

Says the actor, "I can't reveal any more about my character. But I must thank Vishal Bhardwaj for allowing me to court two of the most beautiful women on screen. It was Tabu in Maqbool and now Priyanka in this film."

Sania-Shoaib Couple are in Trouble

Just on the heels of the news that Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza would marry former Pakistan cricket captain Shoaib Malik, another news is doing the rounds that they have called off their wedding, bowing down to the pressure of the public.

It is said that Sania and Shoaib have mutually decided to part ways, following huge outcry from both India and Pakistan. The activists from India also added fuel to the fire by holding protests against their alliance, as they don't want Sania to get married to a person from their rival country.

Sania had earlier said that their marriage has nothing to do with Indo-Pak politics but the public pressure weighed down on her like a ton of bricks. She knew that she owed her success to Indians, as their have been morally supporting her through thick and thin.

It was earlier reported that Sania and Shoaib would tie the knot on April 15, followed by grand reception in Dubai and Lahore.

Bipasha Basu getup 9 different Looks in Pankh

Bipasha Basu gets to do 9 different looks in her new film Pankh. She clarifies, "It's not nine roles as has been wrongly reported. It's just nine looks. I play a character who doesn't really exist. I'm the young hero Maradona Rebello's fantasy figure. Every look is a reflection on his mood. When he's mellow I come out looking like an angel. He sees me the way he wants to see me. I loved the script and the director Sudipto Chattopadhyaya's passion."

The director wanted to name the character Bipasha Basu.

Says the straight-laced actress, "Yes, he was very keen that I be called Bipasha in Pankh. But I'm not at all comfortable with my name being used for any character. I'd rather stick to the character's name Nandini."

Belying the belief that she is not promoting the film, Bipasha enthuses, "Pankh is very special, and not just because it's my first so-called art film. But the minute I heard the subject I was bowled over. It deals with a very serious problem within the film industry. Let's not trivialize it by people speculating whether the character I play is based on me. That's exactly what would have happened if my name was Bipasha in Pankh."

In Priyadarshan's Aakrosh, Bipasha plays a refined school teacher, so she doesn't have to speak a dialectic Bihari.

Says Bipasha, "It's very small township. I'm dressed in simple saris for the role. It's a no-makeup look. But no makeup also means some makeup that the character uses when she goes out, etc. We're at this heritage bungalow called Bangla, very nice but very basic. It's a very hot place with big mosquitoes."

Bipasha is completely new to Priyadarshan's cinema. "So is Ajay. But Akshaye is not. He has worked repeatedly with Priyan. He's his favourite."

Shahrukh Khan hates Twitter and may be stop using it!

ShahRukh Khan is apparently fed up of Twitter. SRK announced some hours ago that he will be closing his Twitter account and today will feature his last few tweets. The actor mentioned that he hates Twitter and maybe for obvious reasons.

As you can see from a screenshot of his Twitter Profile above, ShahRukh Khan is soon going to close the IAMSRK Twitter Account. With an ever growing followers list in such a short time, many of ShahRukh Khan’s Twitter followers didn’t expect this on a 1st of April.

According to reports, ShahRukh Khan’s mention of closing his Twitter account is not an April Fool joke and he is serious about it. From reports gathered across the actor’s close ones, ShahRukh Khan feels that Twitter is reducing his creativity level and he spends much time procrastinating.

Since the account is a verified one, Twitter must be informed of this step. The account is expected to be deactivated by April 3rd 2010.

Numerous celebrity magazines are reporting that Amrita Rao, the bollywood dolly is dating actor Shahid Kapoor. According to the latest reports, Amrita Rao was recently spotted with Shahid Kapoor at a restaurant enjoying a candle light dinner in Delhi.

While we cannot verify the authenticity of this rumor, fans of the actress are more than delighted to hear the news as many people think that Amrita Rao and Shahid Kapoor  make the best and perfect couple ever.

According to Bollywood Asterla, a celebrity website targeting all gossips of Bollywood, the two actors are more than good friends and in fact share an amazing chemistry that at times even make Kareena Kapoor jealous. Until now we have not heard any official statement from the actors but rumors have it that the two will soon announce their relationship.
