Shahrukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor: Ranbir has turned down the offer from Karan's new Project! why?

Shahrukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor News: Ranbir Kapoor is the best thing to have happened to Bollywood in recent years and the new chocolaty boy is going great guns with his career having skyrocketed post back to back successes in flicks like ‘Ajab Prem ki Ghazab Khanii’ (opposite Katrina Kaif) and ‘Wake up Sid’ (opposite Konkona Sen Sharma).

But, when Karan Johar thought of roping in Ranbir for his next mega project alongside Shahrukh Khan, he was left disappointed as Ranbir Kapoor refused.

Reportedly, the reason why Ranbir has turned down the offer is that he politely told Karan that currently he is interested only in solo hero projects (but, then I wonder why did he take up ‘Rajneeti’).

The real reason can be attributed to the fact that Karan is obsessed with SRK and it can be taken for granted that he would be partial towards him and give meatier footage to Shahrukh rather than Ranbir (which Ranbir can’t swallow! After all, why should he?).

A source from Mumbai Mirror chips in with more scrutiny as it says, “SRK is leagues ahead of Ranbir. And a filmmaker who casts these two actors together will naturally be more partial to SRK. Also, chances are that SRK will steal Ranbir’s thunder if they come together now. While Ranbir respects Shah Rukh’s success and talent, he is still not ready to take up the challenge of being seen with him on screen as yet. The day Ranbir feels he can match up to King Khan, he will do a film with him.”

In short, there is no Dostana happening between Ranbir and SRK as both want to get to the number one crown which, one can safely say, adorns the head of an idiot, guess who?
