Kites review- Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori Dangling in the sky

Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori Movie Kites Review: Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori starrer ‘Kites’ have fluttered in to the cinema halls finally after a huge hype and a dry Bollywood season. But, has it lived to its hype? To an extent but it’s, surely, not another ‘3 Idiots’ (Aamir Khan is of a different league).
Pros:

1. The best thing about the flick is its lead couple. Romance can’t be more sizzling when a Greek God meets a Mexican gal and have only eyes (& no voice) to express their mutual love.
2. Hrithik Roshan has done justice to his superstar status. However, the real show stealer is Barbara Mori who has transcended cultural barriers to dish out a magnificent performance.
3. The locales are exotic as Rakesh Roshan again ventures out to the scenic & beautiful lap of nature at its very best.
4. The film is racy, crispy and short. There isn’t a dull moment in this neck-break speedy film.
5. The touch of emotion is the high point of the film. Spectators will get transported into a romantic gateaway where they shall get mesmerized by the oceanic passion, lust and an emotional tugging at their hearts.

Cons:

1. But, the film has its flaws. The music is not above average.
2. The story is merely old wine in a new bottle. The refreshing feel of ‘3 Idiots’ is clearly amiss.
3. The action sequences are watchable but fail to make any permanent mark on the minds.
4. Screenplay lacks that killer punch and, at times, is a tad unrealistic.
5. Despite all its lavishness and grandeur, the film does catch one’s eyes but fails to captivate. As is the new saying, ‘The content is the King’. Though, it’s worth a watch, it won’t grab the Best Film Awards next year.
