See, what love does to a person. Vivek Oberoi, who’s seen playing the angry young man more often than not on the silver screen, has been penning poetry for Priyanka, whom he will marry on October 29.

Vivek has written a poem for Priyanka which goes: “In a world of only two people who are each other's world...”

In fact, when Vivek talks about Priyanka, the words that come from his mouth are poetic, to say the least.

“Every day with her (Priyanka) is a blessing. In a world full of storms, she's my anchor. I live in a world of masks. I needed someone as real as she is. She is my home. She's the one I can come home to. She has changed my life,” Vivek says.

Vivek Oberoi and his fiancee at London date: A month ahead of their wedding, Vivek Oberoi and his fiancee Priyanka Alva were spotted together in London last weekend.

Vivek was in the UK to perform at stage shows in London, Wembley Arena and Leicester; Priyanka, on the other hand, was apparently busy doing the pre-wedding shopping with her friends.

Whether Vivek and Priyanka had planned the trip or they met coincidentally is not known, but they were seen ‘very happy’ together.

The two are set to tie the knot on October 29 this year. Vivek has gone on record and told the media that he feels ‘lucky’ to be marrying a beautiful girl like Priyanka.

Priyanka Alva is a daughter of famous social worker Nandini Alwa and Former Minister and Janta Dal Leader Jeevraj Alwa.

Vivek Oberoi finally decides to change his single status with his engagement to Priyanka in first week of September. Priyanka completed her Business Management Graduate from London, Britain. Priyanka lives in the same region from where Aishwarya belongs.

She is also a well known dancer who has deep interest in protecting ecology and animals. It is expected that the marriage will be arranged on 29th October, 2010. Vivek Oberoi was a boyfriend of former Miss World, Aishwarya Rai and after Aishwarya he was engaged with model Gurpreet in the year 2002 but due to some reason both were separated. Vivek was also connected with many of his co-stars like Neeru Bajwa, Vidya Balan, Jacqueline Fernandez and so on.

Both the couple was met with the help of Bharatanatyam dancer and choreographer Padmini Ravi who is a close friend and relative of Nandini. Both of them are the trustees of Artistes Foundation for Arts where currently Priyanka is working, as well as the co-founders of Bengaluru’s yearly festival of art and culture, the Bengaluru Habba. Priyanka also helps her mother to arrange cultural festivals and launch of their salons, M&W at The Leela and Taj Westend as well as many orphanages. We can say that Nandini played the role of matchmaker. However, Padmini said, “It wouldn’t be fair on my part to comment on this.”

Sources say that the bride-to-be’s “level-headed and intelligent.” “She’s non-filmi, sociable and sweet-natured,” they say. Vivek had earlier said in an interview that he wouldn’t mind marrying a girl of his parents’ choice. “I am sure the match my parents pick will turn out to be the girl of my dreams,” he had said.

Priyanka’s friends are overjoyed. “I am very happy for her, but would not like to say anything more. This is something special and a personal matter between her family and close friends,” says Namrata Sudhindra. The news of Vivek Oberoi and Priyanka’s engagement was not exposed among all friends, family member however they are complaining. “I am very happy for her,” says family friend Meghna Vakada. “Priyanka is a very warm person. I’m sure she is thrilled. I wish her well,” she adds.

Nandini says, “This marriage has come as a blessing from all our well-wishers and friends. Though this is an arranged marriage, my daughter is very happy”. She also added, “This is a very special occasion and we as a family are rejoicing”. “Vivek and Priyanka share a great passion for social work. That is their best connect,” says mother Nandini, adding, “Priyanka completed her education in New York, where her subjects dealt with non-profit organizations and social work. She is very pleased with the fact that Vivek also shares the same passion, having contributed and worked towards aiding several social issues.”
