Golmaal 3: so many films being sued!

Golmaal 3: so many films being sued!: The Indian Stammering Association (TISA) based in Dehradun is livid that Shreyas Talpade's character 'mocks people who stammer'.

'Golmaal 3', like so many films being sued or objected to over petty issues these days, is in trouble. The Indian Stammering Association (TISA) based in Dehradun has sent a legal notice to the producers accusing them of mocking people who stammer.

Our source said, "This association has taken the filmmakers to court for poking fun at people suffering from a disability. In 'Golmaal 3', Shreyas Talpade plays Laxman, who stammers, and the others, played by Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Khemu and Arshad Warsi, constantly make fun of him. The association's sent a legal notice asking to delete the scenes where the character stammers."

Apparently, the producers are in a fix because the film was released over a week ago and it's now practically impossible to remove or delete the scenes. The source added, "The producers now plan to respond to the notice sent by the Uttarakhand court. And they must respond to it before December 14."

The spokesperson for Shri Ashtavinayak Cinevision said, "Yes, it's true that we've received a notice from the Indian Stammering Association. We have not tried to put down any person with a physical disability. The film is an entertainer and it should be taken that way."

Shreyas Talpade argued, "No one does it intentionally and people should look at it in a positive way, as the character I play is the hero of the film. I want to ask the association, 'Why are you all considering yourself to be different when we are not?' We are not pointing fingers at anyone. It is just a character. Today we have so many constraints in making a film, and if these issues continue, then we will have to make silent films." Let's hope that Shreyas' loud and clear message to sundry petitioners saves Bollywood from going back to the silent era.

Box Office Report: Golmaal 3 up and Action Replayy?

Box Office Report: Golmaal 3 up and Action Replayy?: Aishwarya Rai took on Kareena Kapoor, Akshay Kumar battled Ajay Devgan and with both the films having finally hit the theatres, the Box office report card has finally arrived and if the opening day is anything to go by, then it’s the Golmaal trilogy that is having things going its way.
Rohit Shetty’s comic caper which stars quite a few talented and rib tickling actors has demolished all competition from the retro flick Action Replayy which has received a pretty lukewarm response. Golmaal 3, riding high on its predecessors’ success, has been welcomed with open arms by the normal janta.

While Golmaal is going houseful with advance tickets flying off the shelves, Action Replayy is lagging behind and failing to pick up speed. While G3 is having an occupancy of 100 percent in some cinemas, Action Replayy is barely managing 40-50 percent.

But it is expected that as the weekend proceeds, Action Replayy shall recover slightly. But then going by the critics’ verdict, Action Replayy may never reach the stage it wanted to.

Both films have got advance bookings for Sunday but compared to Golmaal 3, Action Replayy is nearly licking dust. Despite the festive Diwali season and the presence of Aishwarya-Akshay, the film’s concept hasn’t quite lured the viewers who are veering towards the paisa vasool Golmaal fun.
