Salman Khan may not want to see his girlfriend Katrina Kaif in skimpy clothes but the actress is likely to wear a bikini if the latest news is to be believed.

The news is doing the rounds that she would be seen in a sexy avatar in Dostana 2 to be produced by Dharma Production.

Priyanka Chopra, who acted in the original Dostana, wore a swimsuit. So, it has become inevitable for Katrina to wear the two-piece cloth. It is said that designer Manish Malhotra would design the beachwear for the actress for two scenes in the Dostana sequel.

It may be recalled that Katrina made the guys feel weak in the knees in Boom with her bikini top. She however discarded it after her career boomed. So, it will be a treat for her fans and filmlovers to see her in bikini again.

Shah Rukh Khan waxed in Hollywood

Madame Tussauds Hollywood, the biggest new attraction to Southern California, has added another stellar personality to its stable of Hollywood film, television and music stars immortalized in wax.

The $55 million attraction, located on Hollywood Blvd., next door to the historic Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, inducted the wax figure of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan into its storied collection on Thurs., Jan. 28, for a limited engagement that ends April 30.

The unveiling was accompanied by an appearance of America’s premier Indian dance company and recent America’s Got Talent contender, Ishaara.

Jackie Chan to Enter Bollywood With Shahrukh Khan's Film

Jackie Chan reportedly will spread his wings in Bollywood. According to Mid-Day, the Hong Kong-born actor has been approached to play in upcoming action entitled "RA. One". If the deal is sealed, he will star opposite famous Indian star Shahrukh Khan.

"They are hoping Jackie agrees to be part of the film. The production house has sent him a detailed script with the action scenes and a brief synopsis of his character," a source claimed.

As for the role that is offered to Jackie, reports suggested that he may play a scientist who helps Shahrukh fight off the bad guys.

This Bollywood financed production will be set in Miami and use Hollywood crew. Anubhav Sinha will serve behind the cameras while David Benullo ("Shadow Man") will provide the script and Ueli Steiger ("The Maiden Heist") will be responsible of the cinematography. In addition to Shahrukh Khan, this superhero thriller has named Kareena Kapoor on the cast line up.

Being known as Hong Kong actor/singer/filmmaker, Jackie Chan made his first huge blockbuster success when he co-starred with Chris Tucker in 1998 "Rush Hour". He recently appeared in "The Spy Next Door" and can next be seen playing in "The Karate Kid", which will be debuted in the U.S. on June 11.

Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol to ring NASDAQ opening bell

Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol have been invited by NASDAQ, the world's biggest stock exchange, to ring their opening bell in New York on Monday.

The stars of director Karan Johar's upcoming feature film My Name Is Khan will become the first Indian actors to open the market, an honour usually reserved for CEOs of major corporations, when they ring in the first trading day of February at 9:30 a.m.

This prestigious event is broadcast live on many television networks across the globe. With over 3,700 companies listed, the NASDAQ has more trading volume than any other stock market in the world.

Khan and Kajol have starred together in many successful films over the years including Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai which are both modern classics in Hindi cinema.

Their much-awaited on-screen reunion will take place on Feb 12 in "My Name Is Khan" when it releases in theatres worldwide.

Shot across much of the United States, the film will also have a star-studded premiere at the 60th annual Berlin International Film Festival during the week of its release.

Salman Khan tells Prem Kaa Game!

After a long time Salman Khan will be heard giving commentary in any film. The film titled ‘Prem Kaa Game’ with the ensemble star cast of Arbaaz Khan, Tara Sharma, Madhuri Bhattacharya, Malaika Arora and Johnny Lever, will see Salman narrating the plot.

Confirming the news ace comedian Johnny Lever says, “Salman Khan is giving voice over for the film, his narration makes the film very interesting.

The twist and turns in the film which Salman narrates makes for an exciting listen throughout the film. As this is not something what Salman usually does, so it would be intriguing to watch or rather listen to what he does with narration!”

The last release of Salman Khan, ‘Veer’ hasn’t been able to woo audience as much he would have expected. After ‘Veer’ this will be Salman’s latest release which is due for release on 26th Feb, 2010 along with the biggies like ‘Karthik Calling Karthik’ and ‘Teen Patti’.

Aamir Khan stepping into the shoes of Guru Dutt?

The Perfectionist Aamir Khan is in the news again after the stupendous success of his last release 3 Idiots. The news is doing the rounds that he would play the lead role in a biopic based on the life of the legendary filmmaker Guru Dutt.

Arun Dutt, the son of the veteran filmmaker, revealed that Anurag Kashyap and Shivendra Dungarpur are writing the script of the film and that Aamir has been approached for the lead role.

He added that the actor has asked to provide bound copy of the script, which would take time.

Arun also said that the scriptwriter has been asked to be cautious while dealing with the relationship between his mother Geeta Dutt, father and Wahida Rehmanji. He added that his father’s films like Pyasa and Sahib Bibi Aur Gulam are under restoration. The restoration work of Sahib Bibi Aur Gulam has been taken up and nine other films would be digitised soon.

One news that is doing the rounds now-a-days is that Vivek Oberoi is completely obsessed with Aishwarya Rai all over again.

He is said to be following her everywhere she goes. In a recent incident he was seen at the premier of the film Rann where Ash and Abhishek were invitees.

Vivek barged into the show half hour late all alone; the irony is that he was not even invited. He was seen earlier at a few other functions uninvited, all because Ash was present.

Now, no one knows why the actor is suddenly becoming so interested in the married lady, he is surely inviting unwarranted trouble!

Bahu Aishwarya Rai to dance on Amitabh Bachchan’s song!

Producer Sajid Nadiadwala has bought the rights of Amitabh Bachchan’s popular song from “Laawaris’, “Apni to jaise taise, thodi aise ya waise’ for his film “Housefull’. So Aishwarya Rai Bachchan may just get to dance to her father-in-law’s hit track.

It will be used as a promotional track for the film and will feature Akshay Kumar, Arjun Rampal, Ritesh Deshmukh and Ash in the video. Sajid Khan is the director of the film.

According to sources, the director and the producer loved the idea of using the song and bought its rights. They are now in talks with Aishwarya and everything should get ready within a few days.

While Sajid Nadiadwala confirmed the news, Sajid Khan didn’t want to either confirm or deny it and stated that an official announcement would be made soon.

Road To Sangam Review

One look at the promos of Road To Sangam and you realize that this isn't one of those films you watch every week.

Road To Sangam, in fact, pricks your conscience and mirrors a reality. Wars have been fought and are still being fought in the name of religion.

Road To Sangam tries to seek answers to the burning issue and in the process, also talks of partition and the Muslims in present-day India. Made with honest intentions, this one's targeted at connoisseurs of cinema.

Road To Sangam tells the story of a God-fearing, devout Muslim mechanic named Hashmat Ullah [Paresh Rawal], who has been entrusted the job of repairing an old Ford engine, not knowing its historic significance.

He is caught in a complex situation after a powerful bomb explosion rocks his town, leading to the arrest of innocent Muslim youths of his locality. A strike to work is called by the prominent leaders [played by Om Puri and Pawan Malhotra] of his community to protest against the unjust treatment meted out to those arrested youths by the police.

Will he support the protest and abandon the repair of the engine or go against the wishes of his community? A simple, thought-provoking story, Road To Sangam has some brilliant moments and also some sequences that you carry home. But what could've been told in a concise format seems stretched after a point. Also, besides moving at a snail's pace, there's also sermonising at times, which wasn't really required.

Writer-director Amit Rai explains his point of view, but the screenplay could've been firm for a stronger impact.

Otherwise, the director has succeeded in extracting wonderful performances from the principal cast. Paresh Rawal excels in this film. This is amongst his finest works. Om Puri is equally competent, although the length of his role is limited.

Pawan Malhotra is efficient, as always. Javed Sheikh is good. The remaining actors enact their parts very well. On the whole, Road To Sangam is mainly for connoisseurs of cinema and also for the festival circuit.

Now Shahrukh becomes Aamir Khan

Shahrukh who is gearing up for his movie My Name Is Khan revealed that he had done a lot of research and read several books for his movie.

Aishwarya rai bachan to do an Amitabh

Sajid Nadiadwala has bought the rights of the song for a promotional track in his upcoming film Houseful and it should see Ash joining Akshay Kumar, Arjun Rampal and Ritesh Deshmukh for the new rendition. The film is being directed by Sajid Khan.

“Talks are currently on with Aishwarya and things should get finalised in a couple of days. Both the Sajids - Nadiadwala and Khan - loved the idea of using the song and bought the rights from the music company. Everyone knows it was a chartbuster in its heyday,” says our source.

When contacted Sajid Nadiadwala said, “Yes, we have bought the rights of the song but Aishwarya Rai is not in our version. We can confirm names only when everything is finalised.” On the other hand, director Sajid Khan said, “I will neither confirm nor deny the news. We will be making an announcement at the right time.”

Aishwarya Rai herself remained unavailable for comment.

Katrina Kaif will don a bikini in the Dostana 2

Katrina Kaif will be seen in a refreshing avatar in the Dostana 2 sequel. It is learnt that she will don a bikini in the film. Though Katrina Kaif says one does not necessarily need to don a bikini to look sexy.

Sources reveal that Manish Malhotra will be designing the beachwear for Katrina keeping in mind her comfort level. Even though the sketches aren’t on the drawing table yet, there have been discussions on what styles and shades will suit Kat best.

The source adds, “Dostana 2 plans to take the fun quotient to another level and also have lots of sex appeal. Katrina has one of the best bodies in the industry and having her sport beach wear will be a huge attraction for the film.”

Apart from wearing hot ensembles, Katrina will also sport an extremely sexy look for the film. “She hasn’t sported the sexy look for a while. In Dostana 2, she will be seen in clothes that make her look more sexy than cute.”

Was Vivek Oberoi following couple Aishwarya Rai Abhishek Bachchan in Delhi?

Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi is following star couple Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan again on Thursday evening, almost a fortnight after reportedly found tailing them in Mumbai.

Vivek, who was linked with Aishwarya earlier, arrived hastily at the venue half an hour after the premiere of ‘Rann’had begun. Releasing Friday, ‘Rann’ has been co-produced by Madhu Mantena and Sheetal Talwar.

Vivek made an unexpected late entry at the premiere of ‘Rann’, at the PVR Select Citywalk, where Aishwarya and Abhishek were present for the red carpet premiere of the Amitabh Bachchan starrer.

The actor bumped his leg on a barricade before he was ushered on the red carpet – making a lonesome sight with no one to walk beside him. The star cast of ‘Rann’ – Riteish Deshmukh, Gul Panag, director Ram Gopal Varma apart from Amitabh – had already moved into the theatre by then. Aishwarya and Abhishek were also in the multiplex.

‘It’s strange to see Vivek here. We don’t know if he has been invited here or has come over just because he is in the capital for an event. He has one lined up for Friday,’ a source who was there, told IANS.

Vivek was reportedly an uninvited entry at Hrithik Roshan’s birthday bash early this month at Shah Rukh Khan’s house Mannat in Mumbai, where the Bachchan couple was present.

Katrina Kaif romancing Hrithik Roshan?

These days, Katrina Kaif is picking roles that will provide her the chance to prove her mettle as an actress. She is rumoured to be a part of Zoya Akhtar’s movie which stars Farhan Akhtar, Abhay Deol and Hrithik Roshan.

Shahrukh Khan marries a 20-yr-old fan

She has been in love with him since she was seven, has watched all his films, and she dressed up as a bride at a five-star hotel in Ahmedabad where Shahrukh Khan came to promote his upcoming film My Name Is Khan.

It was a unique promotional event where people who had unusual love stories were called in to narrate their tales. When the 20-year-old Tillana Desai came on stage, she said she’s loved someone since her childhood but can’t marry him as he’s already married.

When asked who the man was, SRK was shocked to know that Tillana has been in love with him for most of her life. The besotted fan then took out a wedding ring and asked SRK to marry her.

Courteous enough to not break her heart, SRK obliged by staging a mock marriage with Tillana. He bent down on his knee and slid the ring into Tillana’s finger. The girl was simply ecstatic, to say the least.

“I will never remove the ring and I am glad that he accepted my love and admiration for him,” Tillana later told a tabloid.

'Salman Khan' arrested in Gujarat

A man who uploaded pictures of actor Salman Khan and asked for donations for causes close to his (Khan’s) heart has been nabbed by sleuths of the anti-terrorist Squad (ATS).

The accused Gathiya Balam Pathan based in Surat was arrested on the basis of a tip-off received by the ATS.

According to sources, in 2004 Pathan had uploaded the photograph of the actor on a site and had given his own phone number below the picture. He then urged the people to call him to donate for various causes that were close to his (actor’s) heart.

Sources said that posing as Khan, Pathan talked to various people both here and abroad.

They also received three expensive mobile phones from him all of which were given as gift to ‘Salman Khan’. Sources said that Pathan had also received more than Rs1 lakh in the form of charity from a woman abroad.Pathan is in remand right now.

Salman Khan VEER nets Rs 19 crore, crosses WANTED Rs 17 crore!!

Salman Khan’s latest flick ‘Veer’, wherein he enacted the character of a Pindari warrior opposite newbie Zarine Khan, rocked the single screen theaters of Rajasthan, Delhi, Gujarat, UP, Bihar and fetched a handsome amount of Rs 19.50 crore in net over the weekend.

The corresponding amount for Salman Khan’s last super duper hit action flick ‘Wanted’ was only Rs 17.25 crore, which makes ‘Veer’ a better preposition at the box office.

Sources from Eros International, the distributor of the flick, say that ‘Veer’ has grossed Rs 32 crore in India alone on the weekend and the holiday on Republic day must have boosted the figures further.

Salman Khan’s latest film, which had been released with around 1300 prints in the country, also brought in Rs 9 crore from the overseas territories. The good news for Salman Khan, director Anil Sharma and producer Vijay Galani is that the flick is still going steady at the single screen theatres in almost all northern states of the country.

Salman Khan starrer ‘Veer’ had everything going for it to become hit with single screen audiences and it has proved to be true. In fact, the grandeur and scale of the sets had the audiences asking for more. Then, Salman Khan’s look was terrific in the film and his acting skills fully matched his handsome look.

However, the main factor which went in Salman Khan’s ‘Veer’ favor at single screen theatres was the superb action sequences that had been executed by action director Tinu Verma with finesse. Salman Khan’s fabulous physique added to the magic of action sequences.

‘Veer’ is a period flick set in the nineteenth century of British India. A Pindari warrior Veer sets out to take revenge on British and treacherous King of Madhavgarh played by Jackie Shroff. Sohail Khan plays Salman’s younger brother, while veteran Mithun Chakravarthy enacts the part of Salman Khan’s father in the film.

Shah Rukh Khan is also a voracious reader. King Khan truly believes that if you want to be a good actor, you have got to be a keen reader.

For his latest film My Name is Khan in which his character has Asperger’s syndrome and also shades of autism, SRK read several books on the subjects to keep himself updated.

The Bollywood Badshah also confesses that he often finds himself reading several books at a time. “I read everything from news magazines to kids books, even graphic novels,” says he.

And he also enjoys telling his children, Aryan and Suhana stories of Akbar and Birbal. “I’m a huge Birbal fan,” confesses SRK.

“Some ill-informed sorts have reduced the far-thinking Birbal to some kind of court jester in Emperor Akbar’s court. The fact of the matter is that Birbal is actually one of the sharpest.

Aamir Khan gets Padma Bhushan Award

The year has started off well for actor Aamir Khan. First his film 3 Idiots that released on 24 December, 2009 has been the highest grossing film of 2009, then he bagged one of the biggest endorsement deals with Ethisalat and now he has been awarded with the Padma Bhushan Award for his outstanding contribution to Hindi cinema.

This year there are a total of 130 awardees, out of which 6 are Padma Vibhushan, 43 Padma Bhushan, and 81 Padma Shri.

Besides Aamir, the others from the film fraternity who have been awarded the Padma awards are; yesteryear actress Zohra Sehgal who has been awarded with the Padma Vibhushan, AR Rahman and Ilayaraja have been awarded the Padma Bhushan while Rekha, Saif Ali Khan, Resul Pokutty and Arundhati Nag have been awarded the Padma Shri Award.

Aishwarya Rai: How she saved 80 tankers of water by not wetting herself?

Bollywood’s most beautiful actress Aishwarya Rai, in a recent shooting scene, decided to drop her wet Holi scene in a bid to save water in a city that’s suffering from acute scarcity of drinking water.

The Holi wet scene was to be Aishwarya’s entry in Vipul Shah’s upcoming flick ‘Action Replay’ where there were supposed to be lots of colour and water. But, then their inner conscience rose and they planned to drop the water-wasting scene.

“It is true that we are not going ahead with the earlier planned water sequence in the Holi song as we would have used at least 70-80 tankers of water for the 3-day shoot. It is an elaborate song with 500 extras and 150 dancers. I was very excited about it but then realised the magnitude of the water scarcity the city is facing. Aishwarya also opined that we should not go ahead with the plan. Both of us were on the same page on this. We have now decided to shoot it in a different way. It will be completely dry,” cites Vipul, the director of the film.

So, looks like they are reading a lot of environmental-friendly stuff. Anyways, their act is praiseworthy indeed and must be set as an example for our people to imitate. Kudos!

Katrina Kaif is to romance Hrithik in Zoya’s next!

News has it that Katrina Kaif has become very selective in matters of accepting roles, especially when there is competition brewing up from all fronts. Her projects in 2010 are apparently handpicked to enhance her reputation as an actor.

The latest, which she has conformed, looks promising as it has the Bollywood’s most vied actor Hrithik Roshan featuring in the lead. The film is being made by Zoya Akhtar (Luck by Chance) and it’s called ‘Road Movie’ set in Spain with Farhan Akhtar and Abhay Deol.

Zoyas film casts Katrina with Hrithik for the first time ever, and Katrina’s part is said to be something she has never played before. Though Katrina is unwilling to reveal facts about the project, Farhan Akhtar is speaking guardedly about the subject.

“It’s too early to talk about it, but yes, if Katrina does come into our project, she will be cast opposite Hrithik. He is the only one who gets to romance his love interest. Abhay and I have no love interest in the film. Though it’s not the romance, but the bonding among three of us which is going to be the high point of the film”, Farhan revealed to the media.

Had Katrina Kaif been committed to Sallubhai, there would not have been any hesitation on her part in declaring the wedding with Salman in the same breath.

Now contrast Kat’s intention of marriage with Salman Khan’s open declarations on Karan Johar’s show that he was not single and was, in fact, committed to Katrina Kaif. Salman Khan had gone to the extent of saying that he never dumped any of his girlfriends and it had always been the other way round every time.

Kareena Kapoor doesn’t want any ‘Golmaal’

Actress Kareena kapoor was a part of Golmaal Returns, and she is known to have had a good time while shooting for the film.

However, dosts of the actress insist that she wasn’t too happy with the screen space given to her.

There is gossip doing the rounds that Rohit Shetty, who was keen to have her in Golmaal 3, has in fact been turned down, and that Bebo isn’t too keen on being a part of the third installment.

However, director Rohit Shetty begs to differ. “How can I think about the casting when the script isn’t yet ready? Absolutely nothing has been decided yet!” he told us. About Kareena not being too happy with her share of the pie in ‘Golmaal Returns’, Rohit insists, “There has been no such problem. Kareena is a wonderful person, everyone got along just fine, and nobody has gone about complaining to anybody about anything.”

Rohit currently is busy scripting for ‘Golmaal 3’. Is a sequel to ‘All The Best’ also around the corner? “People are of the opinion that there should be one, but we’ll take it one step at a time. Let me finish ‘Golmaal 3’ and then maybe we I’ll give it a thought!” he said.

Kareena Kapoor for ‘Fashion’ director

Fashion diva and Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor has been approached by director Madhur Bhandarkar for a film. This the newest buzz from tinsel town.

Kareena, who has mega-budget movies like Karan Johar’s ‘Stepmom’ remake and Agent Vinod with beau Saif Ali Khan lined up for release this year, can also sign Bhandarkar’s movie.

As a source tells a tabloid, “Bebo is very excited to be working with him (Bhandarkar). They have both been keen on working together for a long time.”

Madhur, as all know, likes to portray reality on celluloid and has made good women-centric films till now. After the success of Fashion the director has mustered courage to make a film on a more commercial level. Reports reveal that Madhur is planning a hard-hitting, social film for which he is keen to have Kareena and that he loved her in Chameli.

However, Bebo hasn’t said anything about the movie but is quoted as saying, “Madhur is any actress’ dream director. He can extract the best performances from anybody.”

Shahrukh Khan on the moon

For those who thought that the fans of Kollywood (Tamil film industry) were one crazy lot, we are sure that this piece of news will just not be a 'Moonwalk' (quite literally) for them.

It's general knowledge that Shahrukh Khan is called the King Khan for enough reasons that would fill many pages of an Encyclopedia. And the fan following that he has is nothing short of hysteria.

Well, if that wasn't enough, here is a piece of news that is bound to make you sit up and take notice. The news is that one of SRK's biggest fans had purchased (you read it right) a piece of land in SRK's name on the Moon. And the good news is that, the International Lunar Geographic Society (ILGS) has now approved of the same.

The crater in question is located on the moon's Sea of Tranquility and is the largest of the four Arago craters, positioned directly south of the main crater.

It is said that the crater was named after SRK on his 44th birthday in November last year, and was only recently approved by the International Astronomical Union following a spate of petitions from SRK fans worldwide.

With this, SRK has proved quite literally, as to what 'feeling over the moon' really means. Way to go, SRK!

Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan Salman Khan-: Amar, Akbar, Anthony of bollywood!

Enough has been said about the war and hatred between the three most powerful Khans of bollywood that is Shahrukh, Aamir and Salman Khan.

However it is high time that someone thought of a way to bring these three together face to face to sort out their problems and what better way than to bring them together in a mega film like the remake of Amar, Akbar Anthony?

Well, for instance Shahrukh could be Amar, played by the dashing Vinod Khanna in the original version. Aamir could be Akbar played by handsome Rishi Kapoor and Salman could be Anthony played by none other than the ever good looking Amitabh Bachchan in it.

So to speak, that each one has a super star value just as the original super stars had in their own way. With so much of money being invested in mega budget films producers could surely bank up on such a flick where the audience would throng to theatres to see their favourite stars under the same roof and in the same screen. The fact of the matter is that the combo of these three would call for a sure shot hit and if cast as brothers on screen maybe they would be able to rub some of the magic feeling in real life too, this would surely be the ultimate in bollywood bonding.

Zarine Khan not to be seen in bikini on screen!

Zarine Khan made her debut in the industry with the movie Veer opposite Salman Khan, where she was covered from head to toe till the last.

When asked about an image makeover through costume, Zarine was too quick to respond saying she didn't mind wearing the same kinda again but she will never seen wearing a bikini on screen!

Zarine is very much looking forward for her future in the industry. Adding on she says that she is ready and wants to play all kinds of roles. Currently she is in her venture to reduce weight for she is very much aware that Hindi film industry demands it and she needs a good figure for it. Zarine, in all, is very slow and seems to be more choosy. She is waiting for her kind of a role. Seems she believes in destiny!

Katrina Kaif a stroke With Shahrukh Khan!

With many a speculation about her relationship status with Salman Khan Katrina has perhaps now developed immunity towards anything to do with controversies.

Even if Salman and Shahrukh seem to be indifferent to each others existence time and again, Kats is not the one to feel dejected.

Recently she was spotted at Arjun Rampal’s Bandra residence going to his party with Shahrukh. According to reports the two arrived in separate cars and as King Khan went in Kats waited for a few minutes.

Then she went in for the bash held to celebrate ‘Rock On’. It seems Kats has no qualms with any of the Khans and irrespective of various reports doing the rounds it has never ever hampered herrelationship with any of them. That does speak volumes about her pro skills!

The Salman quotient with Katrina has evoked such speculations that there is a never ending game of guess whether they are together or not. The moment the gossip mongers call it a day and call therelationship off there the two love birds go again and show some signs of being together again! Gosh, what a game of hide and seek this is.

Spotted at the bash was Farah Khan too and contrary to everyones belief she was merrily chatting with buddy Shahrukh Khan. SRK on his part was his usual happy self just basically enjoying the party. So, what can one say except that Party, party, Party all night!

Sush desperately seeking for Aamir

Sushmita Sen is dying to work with Aamir Khan. Not surprising, considering that Sush is one actress who has worked with almost all the top Khans - Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan and even Fardeen Khan.

So obviously, it's Aamir on her list now.

When the actress was new in B-town and dating Vikram Bhatt, there was talk of a film with Aamir post Ghulam. But Sushmita felt they would not look right on the screen.

But now, with varied cinema, multiplex movies and ample experimental films, Sush believes she has a good chance of working with the perfectionist actor.

Now, if only Aamir reads this and signs up the talented actress for a cool different film!

Aamir Khan at Sundance festival promoting Peepli Live

Aamir Khan was spotted yesterday in Sundance film festival and promoting his new home production movie Peepli Live. Peepli Live will be directorial debut of Anusha Rizvi’s and will star many debut actors who are not known at big screen.

He told to media about his new film that the story of this move around rural part of India. Here is brief synopsis of this film.

Aamir told that first screening of this movie was on 24th at some Egyptian Theatre in Park City. Yesterday on the eve of Republic day, it was declared that Aamir Khan will Padma bhushan and also he got the good news regarding the acceptance of this movie at Sundance 2010.

Aamir Khan told about this movie in his blog. And where he wrote that he got a huge ovation at the end in a place where 90% of public was non Indian. This movie of 109 minutes depicts the life of a rural family struggle and the involved humor in it.

The story of Peepli live  focuses on everyman Natha (as Omkar Das Manikpuri), a poor pot-smoking farmer in the village of Peepli who can’t pay back his government loan. Many farmers commit suicide every year and government pay Rs 1 lakh for in compensation. So he think it to give a try. And this catches media attention and thus the story changes dramatically with full of humor essence.

After 11 years, Abhishek-Aishwarya rai back in Filmistan

Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan got nostalgic while filming an ad with wife Aishwarya Rai at Filmistan Studios, the same location where they gave their first shot together 11 years ago when they were mere acquaintances.

"It was here on the very same floor 11 years ago that we gave our first ever shot together. The movie was Dhai Akshar Prem Ke. Great memories," Abhishek posted on his Twitter page.

"Then, I would have never dreamt that the next time we shoot here would be as husband and wife. How time flies, how lives change," he added.

Produced by actor Dino Morea, the ad film was shot on Tuesday by filmmaker Tarun Mansukhani who directed Abhishek in the hit film Dostana.

"Shooting an ad with the Mrs (Aishwarya). My friend Tarun directing. Great to step in front of his camera again. He's great. And we're all set! The wife is looking her usual stunning self, and me....... Well, I'm looking like Shrek's cousin," he joked.

Shahrukh Khan & IPL: Is he trying to support his fan base, the “Issue” seems to get more political

If you are an Indian you will surely love Shahrukh Khan, but now Mr.Khan’s recent comments where he backed Pakistani players doesn’t seems to please his Indian fans.

According to a previous article of our website I can tell you that Indian fans have come down to abuse him for sympathizing with the Pak players. But I believe everyone has a right to express.

According to some reports he wanted to buy couple of Pakistani players this time but his absence from Auction and his Co-Owner Jai Mehta’s decision to go with BCCI has left him confused for sure.

The recent comments may not have any political connotation but when all the IPL owners are denying all the allegations and rubbishing all the rumors why did SRK pulled out a comment like this? Coz his comment has blown up the secret cupboard’s of all the team owners that includes the likes of Ness Wadia, Preity Zinta, Shilpa Shetty and how can one forget Lalit Modi.

One of our sources reports that SRK has a huge fan following in Pakistan and his recent comment has been lauded by all his Pakistani fans and people who are waiting to take their revenge against India.

More importantly his latest film My Name is Khan is set to release Worldwide on Feb 12th and he and Fox Studio would surely not love to see that a Islamic country missing a film that is Indian but deals with muslim people in US after 9/11 attacks. In a country like Pakistan it will surely be an instant hit.

Well if this is the case then SRK should realize that this comment can easily provoke Pakistan to stretch the thing more on the political level. But if he thinks that his comment can revive the situation then jolly good but if it doesn’t then will he take the responsibility for re-igniting the whole issue again?

If you closely follow his comment that reads: “They are the champions, they are wonderful but somewhere down the line there is an issue and we can’t deny it. We are known to invite everyone. We should have. If there were any issues, they should have been put on board earlier. Everything can happen respectfully.”

If you notice that one line that says: “there is an issue and we can’t deny it.” This one line can stretch the issue more politically. What do you mean by an issue? Indian Govt. has always said that it has issued visas to the players and has also invited their Chief Election Commissioner and had no issue with that thing.

Then who has problems with them? But then SRK said that there is an “issue” but he forgot to mention what was the actual issue. But I believe his comments would create an issue starting from tomorrow and we hope to report on that issue, till then. Peace!

Shahrukh Khan is now on the moon. A crater named after the King Khan!

All you Earthlings can now head to moon and still get to have a glimpse of your favourite celeb Shah Rukh Khan as a lunar crater has been named after the popular Bollywood actor. Moon, also known as the ‘Sea of Tranquillity’ for the deadly silence it encompasses contains innumerable pits and craters.

Moon, the sole satellite of planet Earth was 1st conquered by humans when the American astronaut Neil Armstrong along with his crew members landed on the moon on the historic date of July 20th, 1969 and since then astronomical science has never looked back.

The International Lunar Geographic Society, a New York based organisation that devotes itself towards studyingthe Moon has announced the naming of a crater after the ‘Bollywood Badshah’. The final approval was made by International Astronomical Union. The crater “has been given the honorary designation as the Crater S R Khan on the occasion of Mr. Khan’s 44th birthday” on 2nd November, 2009, the society declared.

So, SRK can now enjoy his vacations up there……..after all, he has got himself a home on the moon…….be it a crater…….

Katrina Kaif: Why was not she allowed to do an item number?

Katrina Kaif is the Barbie doll of Bollywood and, definitely, one of the most desirable and delicious ones on the offer. She has, despite her linguistic barriers, vanquished all her rivals to race ahead in this cut-throat industry.

Her next offering, however, will be the real test of her skill, as this film, that revolves around politics and corruption prevalent in India, will showcase her in a completely different ‘avatar’.

So far, she has won our hearts with her raunchy moves in sexy songs or lovely, milky-complexioned appearances in romantic capers. But in Prakash Jha’s ‘Rajneeti’ she’s going de-glam and her acting prowess will come under full scanner as she dons a saree to play a Sonia Gandhi like character.

So serious his her character that the director didn’t permit her to be a part of an item song in the film as that would be conflicting with her image in the film. So, even though, she was supposed to do the song earlier, she has been forbidden to do it to preserve the seriousness and dignity of her character.

Kareena Kapoor roped in for Madhur Bhandarkar’s next

If all goes well, Kareena Kapoor will soon emerge as a strong contender to win the National Award. The stunning lass who has been vying to work with acclaimed director Madhur Bhandarkar for long now has finally caught the taskmaster’s attention and will be seen in a film by the maverick filmmaker.

And it’s all owing to Kareena’s desire to bag the prestigious National Award.

Considering that there are so many random awards of late, the only award that is considered prestigious is the National Film Awards. And Madhur takes the lead in this category. So it’s no wonder that after Priyanka walked away with the award for her act in ‘Fashion’, Bebo had been desperate to work with Madhur.

And Madhur is much too pleased to oblige the sizzler’s request. Confirming the story a source told a daily, "Madhur is planning to direct a hard-sitting social film for which he wants Kareena. She has been offered Madhur`s film. It`s a fantastic, heroine-oriented script and she is meeting him for a narration. Bebo is very excited to be working with him. They have both been keen on working together for a long time. Madhur had approached her for Page 3 (Konkana`s role) and for Fashion (Priyanka`s role) but her dates didn`t work out.”

Talking about the director, Kareena said, "Madhur is any actress`s dream director. He can extract the best performances from anybody."

Salman Khan’s Veer: Is 3 Idiots biting into its share at the box office?

If one was to spare a look at box office collections this week then new release Veer starring Salman khan has recorded collections worth 19 crores.

However, 3 Idiots which released a month back has raked in 5 crores.

Is the box office presence of month old 3 Idiots biting into the share of Salman Khan’s recent release Veer?

Apparently, if one was to follow data from multiplexes then Veer has not been able to attract major crowds to the multiplex screens.

On the other hand even though 3 Idiots has been around at the box office for a long time it still is exerting a pull on cine-goers.

Would it have been better for Veer that 3 Idiots was not around?

Padma Bhushan for A.R. Rehman and Aamir Khan

In the Republic day ceremony of 2010, actor Aamir Khan & Singer A.R Rehman was awarded by Padma Bhushan.

Rehman was awarded for his great music in movie Slumdog Millionaire & was nominated for ‘Couples Retreat’.

Aamir got the honor of hiring the award for his big releases like ‘3 Idiots’, ‘Ghajini’ & ‘Taare Zameen Par’.

Besides these two celebrities, Rekha & Saif Ali Khan was also warded by Padma Shri, for their success.

Katrina to tie knot in 2012, silent on Salman

Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif has declared that she will tie the knot by 2012. The actress said she wants to enjoy the two years that she has on her hand fully before she takes the Mrs. title.

Katrina plans to finish the projects that she has on hand before walking down the aisle. She will be next seen in Farah Khan’s Tees Maar Khan, Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar and Tarun Mansukhani’s Dostana 2.

Interacting with the media Katrina said that she will be getting married in the next two years. Also on the question of buying a new house the actress fluttering her eyelashes said that she would be going to her husband's house so there was no need to buy a house. Will the groom be Salman Khan? Katrina refused to comment on the issue.

Katrina Kaif Covets For The ‘National Award’

Prakash Jha’s Raajneeti’ is a much talked about film in the Bollywood industry, where we will get to see Katrina Kaif in a new challenging role as a female protagonist for the first time in the screen.

Film personalities of Bhopl unit feels that Katrina Kaif has done an exemplary work as a female protagonist in ‘Rajneeti’ and deserves to win the National award for her role.

More over Katrina is expecting the same, as the source reports, “Katrina is very keen on winning a National Award. She doesn’t seem to hanker after the rest of the awards, but yes, on the sets she often mentioned that winning the National Award would mean the world to her.”

Even Prakash Jha has his eyes on the National Award and keeping his level of his work in ‘Rajneeti’ up to the standard.

He is ecstatic about Arjun Rampal’s win for the National Award, but for his film ‘Rajneeti’ he expects much result from Ranbir Kapoor, Prakash adds, “When I heard Arjun had won the National award for Rock On I was ecstatic. He is fantastic in my film. But it’s Ranbir I’m most hopeful about. I hope, no in fact I’m pretty certain he’ll win the National Award for his performance.”

Contemplating on Katrina Kaif’s excellent performance he is pinning much hope on her, he states, “The girl has breathed fire and passion into her role. From the way she metamorphoses from a young vivacious girl to the way she walks to give her public speeches as a politician. Audiences won’t be able to believe the transformation of Katrina Kaif. I won’t be surprised if both Ranbir and Katrina win National awards.”

Well Katrina you do have a reason to covet for the National Award when you have so many under your confidence.

Kareena's friendly gesture

There will be a long list of people wanting to be in Kareena Kapoor’s friends list after reading about her friendship gesture. The lady so loves her friend, filmmaker Lovely Singh that she gave him an expensive gift worth Rs 7 lakhs on his birthday recently.

The hot actress — who knows of Lovely’s penchant for watches — went shopping for a limited edition watch for him. That’s not the only thing that she’s done for friendship.

Long back, when Lovely turned director with Kya Love Story Hai, the actress promised a special appearance in his directorial debut. She agreed to groove to the number It’s Rocking for him, which went on to rock the music charts though the movie didn’t do well at the box office. But we must say,

Salman Khan In Trouble!

It is not a uncommon scenario in Bollywood industry to steal or copycat story from others but this time Salman Khan is in trouble, currently caught for stealing a concept from ‘A Trilogy Of Wisdom’ by a Gurgaon based writer Pavan Choudary.

Pavan alleged that the scriptwriter Salman has copied a concept from the Hindi translation of ‘A Trilogy Of Wisdom’ book, published last year.

When success was nearing Salman Khan he landed up into another court case problem as he was filed against for disrupting the patent law.

 Pavan, shot bakc a legal notice to Salman Khan and to Eros International after seeing the movie which had similar lines followed from his book.

 The reason why he filed a case against them because they did not react to his charges and wants the paternity of ‘Veer’s concept attributed to him, Pavan stated “I wanted to give them the chance to respond. I filed the suit on Saturday. I’ve had absolutely no response from them. I’ve asked for damages, but that’s not my main thing. What I want is that the paternity of this idea be attributed to me.”

 Pavan’s ‘A Trilogy Of Wisdom’ is based on Chanakya’s political, Confucius’ social, and Kabir’s spiritual wisdom, he divulges “In the Chanakya section, I have developed and presented my political dream for my country – the culmination of which is that ‘desh ko sone ki chidiya nahin, sone ka baaz banana hai. Kyunki chidiya ko toh baki pakshi noch noch kar kha jaate hain, par baaz ki taraf koi aankh utha ke nahin dekhta."

 Certain dialogues by Salman was similarly found in ‘A Trilogy Of Wisdom,’ Pavan adds, “I saw a trailer of Veer in which there’s a dialogue – ‘Hamara desh ek sone ki chidiya hai jise aap log bhinch bhinch kar apne pet main dharna chahte ho ... munh mein nahin aayegi chidiya ... kyunki woh chidiya baaz ban chuki hai.’

 Salman Khan had taken away the pivotal feature from ‘A Trilogy Of Wisdom’ and now what the book will serve to his readers, Pavan complains and wants to be justicied.

 How far Pavan is pitching his truth will come to notice once Salman opens his mouth in defence?

Salman Khan VEER flees for life from Jaipur Marathon fury!!

Salman Khan, the macho Khan of bollywood who had gone to flag off Jaipur marathon in the Pink city of Rajasthan as a part of promotion of his latest flick ‘Veer’( opposite Zarine Khan), had to literally flee for his life from the unruly fans who had gathered at the venue.

Sources say Salman Khan was expected to give the starting signal for the half marathon and also run for some distance with his fans on the occasion. However, due to delay in starting the programme, there was a hue and cry, and when finally Salman Khan arrived on the scene, the crowed lost its patience and started whistling, cheering their idol.

Soon this fan frenzy turned into chair and bottle throwing, creating a free for all situation. Now, the security agencies had no other option but to step in and cane the fans of Salman Khan to disperse them. Several of the attendees were injured in the melee, while Salman Khan was safely escorted to his car out of all this unruly happenings.

The fans of Salman Khan, who had come from far away places of Rajasthan to watch the matinee idol, had to return disappointed. In fact, the police had not expected that much of crowed for the star, and so were not prepared to handle that kind of situation, that led to whole chaos.

Earlier, similar thing had taken place in Hyderabad, when Salman Khan went there to promote ‘Veer’ in a mall. The crowed, which had gathered on the occasion, outnumbered the security personnel and Salman Khan was forced to cancel his programme before, and get out of there safely.

Unfortunately, this huge popularity of the mega star among audiences has not translated into success of his films at the box office. Even his latest film ‘Veer’ is said to have been doing only average business at the box office.
